Money is indeed powerful. It could change people's lifestyles and ways of living for the better. For some rich people, you wouldn't notice their wealth by mouth but through action. For some, you would notice it so easily by the way they flex their wealth. In this post, I will tell you about one time I realized that a friend was rich because of what he did and what the realization did to our relationship.

Mezie was my classmate back then at the university. He is also my good male casual friend, although when we graduated and left the university, I got married and then reduced the way we gist over issues of life. After we were all done with our internships a year after we left school, the issue of getting a job became so serious. Most of my colleagues were engaging themselves in one business or another in search of money. Mezie, on the other hand, grabbed cryptocurrency. He soaked himself in many tutorials about crypto; he is always online researching by himself and trying out some trading. I remember he told me about Olympic trading and how he makes some money from it, but I never showed interest. He discovered another crypo investment and told me as well, but I felt he was just doing trial and error. Mezie was still the first person to tell me about investing in bitcoin during COVID 19, but I still didn't show commitment.
While most of my colleagues and I were job hunting, Mezie was busy learning crypto. He once told me to see if it's something I can do. He also advised that I get my husband to learn crypto too. In all of this, I didn't process the whole information out of doubt. His family, on the other hand, resides in the U.S.A., and they advised him to go back to school and study nursing, after which they will make arrangements for a job in the U.S.A. for him. As I speak to you now, Mezie will be a graduate in nursing by October this year. That's not my point; my point is that I didn't realize that all those crypto sermons Mezie was preaching to me were already making him a millionaire.
He saw that I usually advertise my real estate properties, and one day after viewing my status, he requested for 10 million naira worth of land. Wooooot? Like seriously? Mezie, do not joke with me; it's too early, my friend. This was my exact response to him. Hmmm, he said he has been making cool money through cryptocurrencies and would love to secure assets with his earnings. As if that wasn't enough, he shared a screenshot of his portfolio with me, and what I saw, my mouth cannot say" š¤š¤ š.
One week later, he called me to seek advice. There was a particular coin he invested with about $500 as at when he bought it, and within 5 months, the value skyrocketed to 19 million naira. It was a mixed feeling for him. He said Nkem, how do I explain to my parents that I have 19 million naira from my little crypto investment? Will they believe me? Won't they feel that I am doing yahoo (ritual)? . Hmmmm, at last I advised that he explain everything to his elder sister, whom he is very close to and who understands crypto as well. He did, and the whole family was cool with it. He went further to buy the land he earlier requested from me, demolished his father's old house and built a better one for him .
Mezie started saving for bull runs two years ago. His success story made me more attracted to him. He forced me to mine all the free coins I am mining today. With his portfolio currently, he plan on coming into the real estate business properly when he takes a profit during the bull run. Our last discussion about him being a real estate developer lasted for two good hours over the phone. As a realtor, I have shared my experience with him so far, and hopefully I will work with him when everything is set. He also never fails to remind me about saving different coins for the bull market. The last time he asked if I am really ready for the bull, I assured him that I am and he jokingly wished me 100k dollars š.

There is a popular saying in Nigeria that says "Follow who know road". This is exactly what I have been doing with Mezie, and he is happy that I finally embraced this crypto he has been preaching to me about over the past years. My realization about his richness made our relationship stronger, and I am glad to have had a total shift in mindset about crypto. His donations in our watsapp group (class of 2013 graduates in the university) always make some people to murmur and respect him at the same time. However, for those who cared to ask about his source of richness, he has been guiding them to the journey of financial freedom through crypto. Such a bunch of influence, you wouldn't blame me for following him at the back, would you? Lolz, Money is indeed powerful!
