Kuch Chatpatta hojae!
Indians love Spicy food that is why we have many varieties of spicy food. Indian Cuisines are full of spicies and spicyness.
Personally in my house my Father eats a lot of spices. He cannot compromise on the spices. He needs proper spices, and food should be peppery.
In some houses Papad is compulsory in meal. After having meal at last they want Papad. Papad has chruncy feeling, with lots of peper in it and the taste of this crunch you cant resist. We can simply roast it and have it. It will be crunchy and peppery.
Now you must be thinking What is Papad??*
Papad usually made up of Moongadal flour, Urad dal flour. Salt, blackpepper, Asofedita and edible oils. They can either be roasted or fried. The roasted one is the better option because it contains low calorie.
There are many variations to make papad churi. Most people add Butter or ghee instead of Mustard oil. It enhances the taste. But this recipe is vegan and gluten free. I am using mustard oil, it has a great smell and it taste great.
SO, l I am going to show you ** Vegan Masala Papad Churi**.
It is a mouth watering recipe and very delicious. In this recipe the flavour of all the ingredients will come to our tounge.
So lets see how to make this Masala papad Churi-
INGREDIENTS
▪︎Papad- 4 to 5
▪︎mustard oil- ½ tspn (instead of mustard oil we can use ghee also) it will enhance the taste more.
▪︎cucumber-1cup
▪︎tomato-1 cup
▪︎grated carrot-½cup
▪︎roasted peanuts-1tbspn
▪︎fresh coriander-1 tspn
▪︎sev-1tbspn
▪︎salt-to the taste
▪︎red chili powder-½tspn
▪︎cumin powder-½tspn
▪︎blacksalt-to the taste
▪︎lemon- to the tatse.
METHOD
1.take Papad. (Take thicker one so that they wont get soggy too fast)
2.heat a skillet and dry roast the papad on tawa.
3.roast it from both the side.
4.now in a pan take this roasted papad.
5.crush it with the help of hand and keep aside.
6.now take cucumber.
7.chop it.
8.now grate one carrot in the same bowl.
9.chop tomato.
10.now roast some peanuts on the skillet.
11.add roasted peanuts.
12.add fresh coriander leaves.
13.now mix all the chopped ingredients to the crushed papad.
14.mix all well.
15.Add chopped onions.
16.further add sev or bikaneri bhujia.
17.mix all well then add cumin powder, salt, black salt, red chili powder and lemon juice. Mix all well with spoon and at last add mustard oil. And mix once again.
NOW SERVE THIS IN A PLATE.
