Some days ago, the people of Ezeleke, Umuopara in Umuahia South Local Government of Abia State of Nigeria celebrated their "Ekpo Day" or Masquerade Day. Yours sincerely was invited by Chief Ndubuisi to come and witness the occasion.
There were lots of food and drinks alike. While I was still having the local delicacies prepared and served on me by my host, the masquerade came to pay homage to my host and I was able to capture its arrival. Here are the pictures👇
Thereafter we proceeded to the village square where many people were in attendance to also watch other masquerades on show.
I am happy to be alive to witness this year's Ekpo Day celebration and also pray God to keep us alive to see many upcoming Ekpo day celebrations.
Thanks for reading my blog.
