We caught a squirrel!
In our efforts to save our apples, we're using the live trap to catch and release the squirrels from our yard.
It's a busy Friday, but we find some time to drive to the park and release the squirrel into it's natural habitat. The park is perfect, since there are lots of guests there with food and a nature preserve with squirrel snacks.
The park is a perfect place for them to start a new life, reformed from their life of crime, rehabilitated from being apple thieves!
Enjoying a short Walk with the Children
Whenever I release a squirrel, a couple of children come with me. My two youngest were selected.
While we're at the park, we go for a quick walk on the boardwalk, over the swamp.
Our children are careful to stay on the path and daddy is close by.
There is a beautiful field of yellow flowers by the lake that looks like a perfect place for a picnic! Maybe some day. We are grateful to have such a nice park nearby to enjoy and contribute to.
