Relaxing at the Beach
It was my nephews' first birthday. I say nephews because they are twins!
We enjoyed a day at the cottage by the lake, but not just any lake but lake Huron. One of the great lakes. It's like a fresh water sea.
My mom made cake-pops that looked exactly like ice cream cones. They were delicious!
The sprinkles and jellybean on top made it perfect.
It was sunny, but also windy and not very hot. Perfect outdoor weather, although it seemed funny wearing bundling up on the beach on such a sunny summer day.
Even though the wind was chilly, the children still insisted on swimming and playing in the sand. They had a blast!
After a few hours at the beach, we came up to the cottage for presents and root beer floats. Sweet ending to a sweet day.
