It's Preparation Day!
Friday is the day we get ready for the Sabbath, we clean the house, make bread and finish up our work for the week. It's part of our weekly routine and it comes so quickly!
Six days you shall labor and do all your work.
Mental Labor
This is a challenging commandment, how do we do ALL our work in six days? So often our work goes far beyond six days worth, so we do as much as we can, even if there's more to do.
All the work scheduled for the six days are completed in six days. That's the only metric we can work with!
Sometimes our labor is MENTAL labor, instead of muscle labor. Anyone who works on a mental level knows what I mean, labor doesn't always involve sweat, but it might involve some head-scratching.
Problem solving requires labor, not to force a solution, but to discern how to apply a solution successfully.
What are your thoughts about MENTAL LABOR? Is it really a thing?
