I am referring to a fierce and violent storm very typical of tropical climates at this time of year, something like:

The good thing is that if the rain falls hard enough, then it usually ends quickly, I hope it ends without us having to lose electricity, because that would allow me to publish today. On this Saturday, day 820 since that distant Friday when #Quarantine was declared in #Venezuela due to the #COVID-19 pandemic, I have had a calm day at home, without major complications, beyond the fact that I am running out of domestic gas, and we have no way of replenishing it safely in the near future, so my brother and I are already looking for alternatives to be able to cook and continue in the days to come.
It is quite curious that a country with large oil reserves and sources of natural gas in large quantities, since we have a lack of domestic gas... reminds us of the phrase that said: If you put the communists to administer the desert, in a short time there will be sand shortage. It sounds crazy, but I've seen it happen in my immediate reality.
Well, it is better that my report ends here, suffice it to say that we are still alive, that we are relatively well, at least better than 80% of the population of my country, according to what I check in the Living Conditions statistics, and that we will continue to the best of our ability. Lo bueno, es que si cae con suficiente fuerza la lluvia, entonces, suele terminar rápido, espero que se acabe sin que tengamos que quedarnos sin electricidad, pues eso me permitiría poder publicar hoy. En este sábado, día 820 desde aquel lejano viernes en que se declaró la #Cuarentena en #Venezuela por la pandemia de #Covid19, he tenido un día calmado en casa, sin mayores complicaciones, más allá de que se me está acabando el gas doméstico y no tenemos manera de reponerlo con seguridad en una fecha cercana, así que mi hermano y yo ya estamos buscando alternativas para poder cocinar y seguir adelante en los días que vienen.
Es bastante curioso que un país con unas grandes reservas petroleras y fuentes de gas natural en grandes cantidades, pues tenemos carencia de gas doméstico... hace recordar la frase que decía: Si pones a los comunistas a administrar el desierto, en poco tiempo habrá escasez de arena. Suena loco, pero lo he visto pasar en mi realidad inmediata.
Bueno, es mejor que termine acá mi reporte, baste con decir que seguimos vivos, que estamos bien de manera relativa, por lo menos mejor que el 80% de la población de mi país, según reviso en las estadísticas de Condiciones de Vida, y que seguiremos adelante en la medida de nuestras posibilidades. Te deseo que estés bien y que nos podamos leer en otra oportunidad.
