I am finishing a new Monday, day 724 since the #quarantine was announced in #Venezuela due to the #Covid19 #Pandemic, it is amazing that we are already a few days away from turning two years old.
Yesterday I posted worried about a friend who was in #Ukraine, and today I find in the replies the news that she was alive and had managed to evacuate to Poland, I have to thank @flaxz.alive for letting me know, and I'm really glad that @priyanarc will manage to get out of there, it's hard, because everything he built and worked in 6 years sees lost, but it's time to try to face with a good face that at least he's out, now comes the work of finding how to start again , I read her post, and it hit me pretty hard from the first line, when she officially declares herself homeless, believe me that hurts.
We can try to console by saying that the material is recovering, that at least she was able to go out with Gigi, her dog, a lot can be said, but we must also respect the mourning for the loss and for the violent change she is facing, she is a professional, hard-working, vital and very pretty woman. Bad things happening to good people is always a disgrace. To all these, that wars, for whatever reasons or excuses, I never like, many people suffer and lose what they worked for the ambitions of a few people.
I return to searching for things from #history for my daily #log, in this case: Today, in 1274, Thomas Aquinas dies. Medieval philosopher of great importance in the history of Western science, thinker, preacher, theologian, member of the Catholic Christian order of the Dominicans, philosopher who worked hard to "Christianize" Aristotelian thought and one of the first who, as I recall, records that he managed to separate the use of reason and faith in two different areas, making it clear that reason and logic were useful tools to understand the material world in which we live, that is something very advanced for its time and there are to recognize it.

Estoy terminando un nuevo lunes, día 724 desde que se anunció la #Cuarentena en #Venezuela por la #Pandemia de #Covid19, es asombros que ya estamos a pocos días de cumplir dos años.
Ayer publiqué preocupado por una amiga que estaba en #Ucrania y hoy me encuentro en las respuestas el aviso de que estaba viva y que había logrado evacuar a Polonia, le tengo que agradecer a @flaxz.alive por avisar y de verdad que me alegra que @priyanarc lograra salir de allí, es duro, porque todo lo que construyó y trabajó en 6 años lo ve perdido, pero toca tratar de enfrentar con buena cara que por lo menos ya está fuera, viene ahora el trabajo de buscar como comenzar de nuevo, leí la publicación de ella y me pegó bastante desde la primera línea, cuando se declara ya oficialmente como una persona sin hogar, créeme eso duele.
Podemos tratar de consolar diciendo que lo material se recupera, que por lo menos pudo salir con Gigi, su perrita, se puede decir mucho, pero también hay que respetar el duelo por la perdida y por el violento cambio que está enfrentando, ella es una mujer profesional, trabajadora, vital y muy linda. Que le pasen cosas malas a gente buena siempre es una desgracia. A todas estas, que las guerras, por las causas o excusas que sean, nunca me gustan, mucha gente sufre y pierde lo que trabajó por las ambiciones de unas pocas personas.
Retomo lo de buscar cosas de la #historia para mi #bitácora diaria, en este caso: Hoy, en 1274, muere Tomás de Aquino. Filósofo medieval de gran importancia en la historia de la ciencia occidental, pensador, predicador, teólogo, miembro de la orden cristiana católica de los Dominicos, filósofo que trabajó arduamente para lograr "cristianizar" el pensamiento aristotélico y uno de los primeros que según recuerdo se registra que logró separar el uso de la razón y de la fe en dos ámbitos distintos, dejando en claro que la razón y la lógica eran herramientas de utilidad para entender el mundo material en que vivimos, eso es algo muy avanzado para su época y hay que reconocerlo.

I would love to expand on this, because the history of science is a topic that I like to review, but since I started making the blog late, I must be brief and leave it here, I hope we can read each other another time and that we are all well.
