Usually, I publish a photo at the beginning of the publication that has to do with the ephemeris of the day and its meaning, but today I start with a photo of my authorship that shows the reason why I did not publish my blog yesterday. Due to the recent rains, an old tree was torn apart and a part of it fell on an electric pole near my house, so several surrounding streets were without power since Friday night. We spent Saturday in the dark and got to today, Sunday, May 1, International Worker's Day... I didn't expect them to come and repair his until next Monday, I really didn't expect anything better than that, but still, I made the most of it what I could the battery of my cell phone to repeatedly report the fault and share the post number so that the Corpoelec company could locate the fault more easily, I also shared it with a WhatsApp group in the neighborhood, hoping that if more people reported, then this was more likely to be addressed.
I must confess that I am pleasantly surprised, a crew of workers arrived on the afternoon of this holiday and restored the electrical service, in addition to cutting the tree to get it out of the way. Very often I get upset, and I complain about things that happen in a not very good way, but today I want to recognize these workers, which is their particular holiday, they have come to attend to this very bad situation that we had, it is the kind of things that reconcile us a little with our peers and make us have the best wishes to these people, who work even on holidays, to solve problems and make things work.
Truly, it is with people like this that this world can move forward. Thanks for everything. I wish you well and that we can read each other another time.

Usualmente, publico una foto en el inicio de la publicación que tiene que ver con la efemérides del día y su significado, pero hoy comienzo con una foto de mi autoría que muestra la razón por la que no publiqué mi bitácora el día de ayer. Debido a las lluvias recientes, un viejo árbol se desgarró y cayó una parte de él sobre un poste eléctrico cerca de mi casa, así que varias calles aledañas quedamos sin servicio eléctrico desde la noche del viernes. Pasamos el sábado a oscuras y llegamos a hoy, domingo, 1º de mayo, Día del Trabajador... no esperaba que vinieran a reparar esto hasta el lunes próximo, en verdad que no esperaba algo mejor que eso, pero aun así, aproveché todo lo que pude la batería mi celular para reportar reiteradamente la falla y compartir el número de poste para que la compañía Corpoelec pudiera ubicar más fácilmente la falla, también lo compartí con un grupo de WhatsApp del vecindario, con la esperanza de que si más gente lo reportaba, entonces era más probable que esto fuera atendido.
Debo confesar que estoy gratamente sorprendido, llegó en la tarde de este día feriado una cuadrilla de trabajadores y restablecieron el servicio eléctrico, además de que están cortando el árbol para poder sacarlo del camino. Muy usualmente me molesto y me quejo de cosas que pasan de una manera no muy buena, pero hoy quiero hacer un reconocimiento a estos trabajadores, que es su día festivo particular, han venido para atender esta situación tan mala que teníamos, es la clase de cosas que nos reconcilia un poco con nuestros semejantes y nos hacen tenerles los mejores deseos a esta gente, que trabaja incluso en feriados, para resolver problemas y hacer funcionar las cosas.
En verdad, con gente así es que este mundo puede avanzar. Gracias por todo. Te deseo que tú estés bien y que nos podamos leer en otra oportunidad.
