I live barefooted and naked, very close to Earth and Nature, in a 16-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i. We often hear, and probably engage in, talk about the value of Hive's layer-1 and layer-2 tokens in relation to fiat currencies and to each other, with hopes that Hive's tokens will moon. While these discussions and comparisons are interesting and of some use, they miss the mark in terms of assertaining the true value of Hive and its many tokens.
First and foremost, the value of Hive and its tokens cannot accurately be compared to fiat currencies because they are of a completely different nature and purpose from each other. Fiat currencies, which are based on debt, and are created and controlled by centralized powers, are an instrument of enslavement. Hive's currencies on the other hand are not based on debt, and they are owned by we the people, you and me, and hence are a tool of liberation and empowerment.
Investing our time, attention, energy, efforts, and sometimes our outside fiat or crypto assets, into Hive is not only an investment in a far-superior version of money, which derives its value from us, but far more significantly it is an investment in our human empowerment, liberation, and sovereignty. Investing in Hive is win-win all around, except of course for those who benefit from the present slave system and keeping us enslaved within it.
This perspective on the importance and potential of Hive is what fuels my burning motivation every single day for greater commitment, dedication, consistency, patience, determination, and tenacity. When I say that I am all in for the long haul on Hive, I mean it, and for good reason. It's my investment in myself, humanity, and a free, just, and beautiful world. I hope you'll join me!
I slept very well again the night before, and I woke up early, feeling clear and refreshed. I started my Hive rounds as the sun was coming up while still in bed, and I was able to finish and publish the previous iteration of this post before 8:30AM. This gave me time to make my superfood fire coffee before the community NVC meeting at 9AM.
When the meeting was finished I returned to the Flow House to continue with my Hive catch-up and tasks, which kept my focus until about 2:30PM when I finished. After leaving the Flow House, and before I began any land work, I walked around for a while, taking photos for this post.
For land work, I gave my attention to weeding the fenced garden, which was calling for it once again. Everything grows fast here, which is simultaneously wonderful and challenging. I'll probably continue with the weeding today too, after I finish my Hive catch-up and tasks.
After working in the garden I made food for myself, and after (Io)lanthe (Ano and Melekai's 11-year-old daughter) saw what I made, she asked me if I could make it for her, too, with minor modifications, so I made two rounds of food (spiced eggs, chicken sausage, onion, tomato, and pepperjack cheese). Once the food was made, Io joined me up at the Flow House, to eat and use her tablet, while I of course focused on Hive.
Io was watching a movie, so she stayed up at the Flow House quite a bit longer than expected, and I ended up walking her back to the Ka, where she sleeps, at 11PM. Quite late indeed. I had basically finished what I needed to get done on Hive, so I dozed off in the cozy chair next to my computer for a bit before finally waking up and walking Io to the Ka after her movie had finished.
Thankfully I slept very well last night again, so I feel great this morning. It's just past 11AM now, so it's a good time to end this post, so that I can get to my Hive catch-up and tasks for the day. I deeply appreciate you all! Until tonight or tomorrow morning!
