I've spoken before in these posts of the absolutely incredible work that @hivesucre is doing in Cumaná, Sucre, Venezuela, where a group of dedicated hivers/hivians have succeeded in onboarding a network of 50 businesses to accept HBD as payment. What has been, and is being accomplished, in Cumaná is a template that people can replicate anywhere. With the intensification of the intentionally engineered financial crisis, and greater portions of the population of the world struggling, finding a way to create our own local economic systems becomes all the more essential.
I can't stress enough just how significant what the @hivesucre team in Cumaná has succeeded in grounding into very practical, usable reality, truly is. I suggest going to take a look at their profile, and peruse the great many very inspiring posts that they have published, and posts that they've reblogged from members in Cumaná describing their experiences of using HBD to pay for all manner of things. It's fricking amazing!

I send huge congratulations to the @hivesucre team for what they've been able to accomplish, and I'm very excited go see how this all unfolds, not only for them, but also in cities and towns worldwide! This isn't really a sit-back-and-watch kind of thing, though, as for what now exists in Cumaná to spread to create local networks of businesses regionally and globally, and then greater networks of networks, all of us that love and believe in Hive and its potential really do need to get ourselves (me included!) involved!
How do we do this? We have to start where we are, with the people around us. Creating local groups that will be responsible for this kind of local focused promotion, outreach, and education is a necessary first step. This is likely the most challenging part of the process, getting enough passionate people together in one location with the focused shared purpose of onboarding local businesses. This would not likely be rapid, but it does indeed have the potential to be very effective over time, and a snowball effect would probably kick in, once a sufficient number of businesses become part of it.
While this may seem quite daunting, it's also extremely exciting, and well worth the time, energy, focus, and effort put forth to make it happen, because we see that it most definitely can work. Imagine Hive assets being accepted in towns, cities, and on websites worldwide, just as credit cards are now. We can do this.
We had the first of five community NVC (non-violent communication) classes begin yesterday at 12PM, so I did my best to get the previous iteration of this post published, and as much Hive catch-up and tasks done as I could, before the class began. Thankfully all the time-sensitive stuff was finished by then at least. After the class, I stopped off at the Landing to give my little kitten friend some food and water, then I headed back to the Flow House to finish my Hive catch-up and tasks. I also walked around a bit, taking photos for this post.
Around sunset I took a break to go to the Landing to make food, give the kitten more food and water, and then return to the Flow House for the evening Hive round. Thankfully I didn't have too much more to do by that time. Since I hadn't slept well for about three days in a row, I was feeling pretty exhausted by 8PM. I finally got to bed just after 10PM, and I slept deeply most of the night. When I woke up around 6AM, my body was telling me that it still needed more sleep, so I went back to bed until around 9:30AM. Thankfully I feel quite good after so much sleep!
It's just after 1PM now, so a good time to end this post, so that I may get to my first round of Hive catch-up and tasks for the day, and then to begin on my giant 64th Sunday Weekly Hive Goals and Progress Update. I deeply appreciate you all! Until that post tonight, and the next incarnation of this post tomorrow morning or afternoon! Onward and upward, joyfully together! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
