I live barefooted and naked, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i. What's the most important thing for newcomers to Hive to know? That Hive is not a regular, corporate-controlled platform where we must bend to the will of corporate or governmental dictates, but rather is a sovereign domain of individual and collective freedom, empowerment, expression, creativity, and collaboration. On Hive there is no 'just accepting things as they are' and 'making due', because here on Hive we are who's in charge of, well, everything!
Because we have so much autonomy, freedom, and power on Hive to create what we want, and to tweak and modify what already exists, it serves everyone on the Blockchain, including us, to bring our absolute best! Hive is our home, so we should endeavor to make it beautiful! What is bringing our best to the Blockchain? It's showing up in our genuine authenticity and our open, honest, and and transparent realness, to share our deepest and greatest love, passion, and purpose - that which most lights us up, brings us alive, and sets our hearts on fire! That's a great starting point I'd say!
We bring our best to Hive because we are the ones who set the bar, so why would be set it low? If we have the ability to create Blockchain excellence, whether in infrastructure, posts, or interactions, why would we choose mediocrity? I'm deeply proud of Hive, and I want to share it with everyone, and for the people with whom I share it to be blown away, and in a good way! Hive and excellence should be synonymous!
Bringing our best also means taking greater responsibility here on the Blockchain, because in truth its ours, and everything that happens here is because someone, and lots of someones, chose to take it upon themselves to do it! If you feel that something should be a certain way, then do it! Should something exist that does not, well then create it! Hive, all of it, is up to us!
I was able to complete my Hive catch-up and tasks, and leave the Flow House to go get some work done, just before 3:30PM yesterday. The first thing I usually do is to walk around for a while to take more photos for the next day's iteration of these posts. After photo taking, I decided to finally clean the Landing refrigerator, which quite needed it. The challenge with the fridge in the Landing is that it is actually a chest freezer, being used as a refrigerator instead. In our humid environment every time someone opens the lid, moist air condenses on the cold inner walls, and the water drips down to the bottom, creating a pool, that gets dirty quite quickly. It took me about an hour, but in the end it was finally clean once again. Even though the process is not particularily enjoyable, it always feels great afterward to have it done.
After finishing with the fridge, I felt Inspired to make another batch of my hot sauce, which I've made for myself and the community for close to five years now. The last batch that I made, more than a month and a half ago, went very quickly, so it was an opportune time to round up its many ingredients, and begin the process of putting them all together! I blend everything with a VitaMix blender, making about half a gallon at a time, one quart jar for me, and one to leave down at Tutu's, the main community building. I completed my culinary task right around sunset, and it came out tasty as ever!
Once I finished my hot sauce (jokingly called Essence of Tydyn 😂), I made food for myself in the Landing (using some of my hot sauce, of course), then I headed back to the Flow House for my evening round of Hive catch-up and tasks. I finished what I needed by around 10:30PM again and I went to bed soon after. I slept well until 4:30AM, then checked in on my trades on BitForex and Hive Engine, and did a round of Hive catch-up and tasks, before going back to sleep until around 8:30AM. I was woken up by Elohi, Ano and Melekai's 12-year-old son, asking a favor of me. He, Melekai, and his 11-year-old sister Iolanthe, wanted to go on a Sunday trip to Kona, on the other side of the Island, and they needed someone to care for a young kitten that Iolanthe had been gifted yesterday at the Trading Post.
So while I've been doing my morning thing, I've had a super cute little fuzzy gray friend next to me, snuggled up sleeping or playing beside me. I'll be watching her all day, until evening, so it's a wonderful thing that she's gotten into the groove so well and is so mellow. She's a cuteness explosion!
I spent a fair amount of time before beginning this post creating and setting up accounts on Leadsleap and FreeBitcoin, something I'd been considering doing for a while now, as I've been hearing quite a lot of good things about both of them. I also put my Leadsleap Coop link into CTPX. I'll be exploring these sites to see what's possible with them over the next few days.
It's now just after 1:30PM, so a very good time to end this post, so that I can dive into another round of Hive catch-up and tasks, and then to begin putting together and writing my giant 63rd Sunday Weekly Hive Goals and Progress Update.
