This post is for the #wednesdaywalk challenge and the #makemesmile challenge collaboration. This collaboration initially took place once a month, but due to its popularity, @tattoodjay (of the #wednesdaywalk) and @elizacheng (of #makemesmile) decided to make it a weekly thing.
If you want to know more about the rules, visit this week's post by @tattoodjay where you will find all the rules at the bottom of his post after you've enjoyed his beautiful photos from his walk.
Today's photos are actually a continuation of last week's walk.
We had a great time, going for a walk at some curio shops, situated at the Pot & Kettle in the Valley of a Thousand Hills. I love going to the back of the shops where you can enjoy an awesome view of the Valley of a Thousand Hills.
After we spent some time admiring the views and taking some photos, we decided to end the afternoon with something to drink at the Pot & Kettle.
At the Pot and Kettle, you can choose whether you want to sit inside or outside...but who would want to sit inside if you have the most awesome views of the valley outside while enjoying the beautiful weather.
This is a typical table where you can be seated if you choose to be served inside.
Sitting outside though, you can feel the peace and tranquility of nature.
Going outside, there is also the option of sitting under the shade of a roof...
We preferred heading out to the open space. Being late afternoon, it created a nice atmosphere with some awesome views as we moved through the covered area towards the open area where we wanted to be seated.
Looking back at the "covered" area from where we were to be seated.
With some more open-air space just below us...
The view from our table...
We decided to end the afternoon with some nice scons and ice-cold ginger beer.
Note the display of some vintage sewing machines in the background, displayed on the rocks behind the table...
It was late afternoon when we decided to leave, which created an all-new atmosphere as we left, passing through the covered area again.
Moving through the covered area on our way out, and the shadows getting longer, I thought it would make a nice black and white photo...
And so we came to the end of an awesome outing for the afternoon.
Thank you for reading my post! I do appreciate it!
