Reflection | Mixed Media Art Project for Alien Art Hive's INKTOBER PROMPT [#23-Celestial]

In response to the Alien Art Hive Community's Inktober Prompts that were part of their Cosmic Creations Edition #6 Contest, Cosmic Creations Edition #6 is LIVE: INKTOBER PROMPTS, members were encouraged to choose a prompt theme from the Inktober Prompts list for their entry into the contest.

After my entry into the contest with Prompt #17 - DEMON which I published on 9/23, I decided to take the Inktober concept one step further. I will focus on the remaining 30 Prompts on the list, beginning with Prompt #1. How fun the themes will be preparing my projects utilizing the mixed media art themes. If a Drabble story (100 words) or other flash fiction emerges, then all the more fun!

Below is my project for Inktober Prompt #23:

My approach to Prompt #23 - Celestial is merely to showcase a theme whereby a somber young woman contemplates her existence. Her past she contains in the essence of her mind. The future she yearns for is one of peace. Forces of good and evil are part of her existence. The scenario and the background scene is not anchored to one place but an be envisioned on any spectrum in the universe.

All the elements of nature are contained in this mixed media project. Waterfalls, forest, and mountains. I designed my project in Canva, utilizing a variety of images, some of which are fractals, while others are stable diffusion. The resulting design I feel captured my concept of celestial.

To set the celestrial stage, I called upon a few stable diffusion and generative art programs, such as Deep Dream Generator, Night Cafe, and StarryAI. For my fractals, I designed them in Apophysis 7X, an advanced fractal generating program.

Below are my steps to creation:

The first set of images are generative art and stable diffusion. I was pleased with the look and feel they portrayed. The misty background of a waterfall and the aura of the female image.

I can never stop at just one or two images to incorporate into my scene. I create numerous pure fractals, some I can utilize on its own. Others I create specifically at veils or accessories to blend with other pure fractals or an assortment of images.

Still other free-sourced images I locate speak to me to grab them and distort, colorize, resize, and reposition to mold them into my scene. I gladly do so. These images are set out below:
