Red

Hello hive community...

With deep crimson red eyes, she carried a piece of the sunset and holds a universe of mysteries. She saw her eyes as something unique, a reminder that her differences make her extraordinary....

What comes to your mind when you see the colour red? Love and passion? Danger or warning? Aggression or celebration?

Well, I bring you another digital art and this time, red took the center stage and I love how fiery the canvas looks...
Red is not one of my go-to colours for, I barely even use it in my digital work exept sketching but that doesn't change the fact that it's a colour that speaks volumes without words, it never hides and also conveys a lots of emotions.

PROCESS

The sketch was quite fast, I wanted to do a simple portrait that looks cool but a bit magical. I've been practicing new techniques to painting hair because I want it to look a certain way, I love how it looks here. When I was do with painting her skin, facial features and hair, I rendered her skin and hair by adding all the details where necessary.

I thought the painting looked too simple which isn't a bad thing so I added the red butterflies and I love the difference it made.
