Happy weekend, beautiful people!

I mentioned in my song cover in my latest post that one of my favorite Asian singers, Coco Lee, just passed away a few days ago. It really saddened me because she doesn't have that lonely aura. I had known her to be a strong, happy woman until I heard the news that she had died due to depression. On the other hand, my aunt passed away the same day due to breast cancer. She has been battling it for over a year. Tomorrow, I am planning to go visit her.

Life is, without a doubt, flighty and unpredictable. While sipping coffee on our patio this morning, I was reflecting on all of my departed loved ones: my only sister, my father, my grandparents, and relatives who are close to me. Then again, in the past couple of days, a couple of butterflies have visited my yard. Black, orange, yellow, white, gray, and a couple more. Until this week, I had never seen a single butterfly. Whether it's the weather or something else, Filipinos believe that when a butterfly visits your home, a loved one who has passed away is also there. We held this belief for a long time, and I still adhere to it today. I love butterflies, and I have a butterfly inked on my right foot—that was my very first tattoo. I currently have 4.

Talking about butterflies, I thought of taking photographs of them, yet they are hard to catch. The last one to visit my yard fortunately remained still at one of my plants. It is a mix of white and yellow. White butterflies are typically regarded as a sign of prosperity and luck, according to folklore. However, a white butterfly fluttering around a person in some cultures, like here in the Philippines, is thought to indicate that the individual will soon die or has already passed away. In other cultures, a white butterfly is regarded as a representation of purity, a loved one's soul, or an angel. I am pleased to have taken a few pictures of it.

Thank you for stopping by, and I wish you all a peaceful day wherever you are in the world!
