It's 5:57 pm and I've lost momentum. My work day ended at 4:30. The day dragged on and on and I started clock-watching at 12:30. My schedule requires early lunches. Today my lunch was scheduled for 11:00. Calls weren't coming in frequently so I worked on items saved in my workbasket pending completion.
I began feeling head pressure around three o'clock and took two Excedrin migraine hoping to avert pain. After work, Jeff drove us to the pharmacy. I received a text message that one of my scripts was ready for pickup. It hadn't been run through my insurance because I can't receive more than two refills at the local pharmacy. I need a new script sent to my mail-order vendor, but I paid for this refill anyway so I didn't run out of the medication.
We drove to the airport hangar after picking up my medication. Jeff hoped to show me some crop duster airplanes he saw at the airport earlier today, but they had flown away to another airport to continue their task of crop dusting before we arrived.
I requested to be taken home because my head was now protesting. I took my prescription medication Ubrelvy but the migraine ignored it. There is seldom a delayed response to the medication. It works or it doesn't right out of the gate.
Jeff is preparing chicken breasts with capers. It is a blessing to have a husband who loves me and who enjoys cooking. I am disappointed to be put out of commission this evening, but I am happy to be able to share a little of my life with you today. Now I will enjoy the Wednesday evening service.
Each day is a blessing, I am aliveandthriving despite my migraine and I'm glad to be able to enjoy the time I've been given. Mom always assured me, "This, too, shall pass."
It will.
