Me Against The World

I watch the pillars I've built crumble
No stone was left upon another
My uproar could no longer be heard
People turned a deaf ears to my plea.
Helplessly I lied in a pool of blood
Wounded and bruised
The world gave out an evil smile
"You're alone" it said

I grinned, "you lie" I said under my breath
I knew my family was there
They held me since my first cry
And would do anything for me, I assured myself
I turned around to call for them
But on the other end they fought their own battle
once again the world laughed indistinctly at me
"You're alone" it said

I looked around but alone I stood
Me on the right and the world on the left
It was me against the world
We were both armed
Left to fight in my weak state
I knew it was either I fight or die
No one was ever coming for my rescue
I stood on the battle field left to make a choice
