I asked, "why do you hold
Your candle without a flame?"
The next thing she said
Moved me to my veins,
And I can't help but wonder,
How many other are like her.
She said, "It's hope."
Hope for what really?
Why hold a flameless candle while
There's no hope for a flame,
Where there are many waters,
Surrounding you?
Just throw the candle away!
But she said, "Maybe there will be a flame."
Maybe someone with a lighted candle,
Will come my way someday,
Maybe I will see light at the end
Of the tunnel.
Today, I hold a flameless candle,
But tomorrow, I will be holding a light,
Bright enough to see the way,
Bright enough to lead the way,
Bright enough fix this broken clay,
I will hold a light soon.
I draw hope from my lifeless situation,
I draw strength from my weaknesses,
I break off the setback and limitations,
I don't take no for an answer.
This flameless candle,
Will host light someday!
Thank you for your time.
My pen doesn't bleed, it speaks, with speed and ease.
Still me,
My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer.
