Hi Hiveans,
Today I'm going to introduce you to a new place, a place that my friends and I spent a whole day exploring. Although we were exhausted, we were completely satisfied with the trip and had great experiences.
About 1450 meters above sea level, Bach Ma National Park is home to rare and endangered animals and plants. In addition, this place is also blessed with beautiful scenery by Mother Earth. It is part of the Truong Son mountain range stretching from North to South of Vietnam and is located between Da Nang city and Hue city.
We departed early in the morning by motorbike from Da Nang and it took us about 1 hour and 30 minutes to get here. When we reached the foot of the mountain, we bought admission tickets (60k VND/person) and rented a car (750k VND for a 7-seat car) to take us to the top of the mountain.
We asked the driver to drop us off at the point where we could walk to Do Quyen Waterfall. After that, it took us about 25 minutes walking through the forest to reach Do Quyen waterfall. The trail is quite clear and there are road signs along the way so you don't worry about getting lost.
After a while resting at the top of the falls, we followed the trail to the left to walk down to the bottom of the falls. This is a 300m high waterfall, so I did not remember how many steps I had to go down the stairs to reach the foot of the falls, but my advice is that this road is only for those who are strong, otherwise you can't go back up.
After taking a lot of beautiful photos at the foot of the waterfall, we followed the same path to get back to the top of the waterfall and followed the forest trail to reach 5 beautiful lakes deep in the forest. The water in the lakes is extremely cool and clear, making it a great place to swim in the summer. Only one thing, we went in the wet season so there were a lot of leeches on the trail. Every 5 minutes, we had to stop to take them off our legs. But if you go in the dry season, then I don't think it matters. We spent about 2 hours walking in the forest to explore all 5 beautiful lakes.
After that, it took us about 30 minutes to walk to the Water Supply Factory located on the main road. Then, following the main road, we walked to the top of Bach Ma mountain, where The Sea Observatory is located. By this point we were almost exhausted.
The Sea Observatory is a beautiful place where we have a panoramic view of Bach Ma mountain and take many beautiful photos, you can even see the sea here. When we reached the top, it was foggy and cold, making us feel like we were in Sapa, the coldest place in the North of Vietnam. Then the driver picked us up at the top to take us back to the box office at the foot of the mountain. Along the way, there are a few old, beautiful French-built villas that are now home to rangers, and there is also a roadside restaurant if you get hungry.
My advice is you do not miss this place when you come to Da Nang city or Hue city.
