Amazing walk in the old good Pidhirtsi... (EN)

Hi friends!
Autumn continues, it's cool and windy now. I spent the last few days in the city, dealing with homeless animals again. Unfortunately, there was no time to write here at all. I miss you, really:(

This senseless war going on and I want to share tragic news with you. On October 5, the Russians shelled a cafe in the village of Groza in the Kharkiv region. 51 people died there. This is simply a terrible case, because our enemies knew very well that they were not aiming at a military object.
It's more and more scary to live every day!

My walks into the world of nature and architecture of the past give me strength to live and at least a little more joy.
I want to share with you photos from a very nice and cozy walk that took place about a week ago. For various reasons, I don't travel far now, but I try to find something new and interesting in my native surroundings.
Since the hour was already quite late, I decided to meet "an old friend". This is what I call the village of Pidhirtsi, located about 15 km from my house.
This picturesque ancient village with several architectural monuments will not leave anyone indifferent.

First, I decided to look for one magical place, the source of Blue Eye. My friends who love this area told about it and it was also marked on the map. Friends said they used to swim there, so I was intrigued...
The navigator actually led to the forest outside the village. Plisnesko, one of the largest settlements of early Slavs in the region, was once nearby. People have long settled where there is access to water!

After parking, I continued along the path, admiring the fresh green colors and the coolness. The path ran parallel to the stream and led me to an interesting house. It seems that tourists are accepted here, but not a single soul was there, as well as the springs. I think I lost my way...

I returned to the main road again. I saw some spring and a stand that told about the boundaries of the ancient settlement, but I was looking for another place!
Attempt number two. The navigator sometimes likes to lead to a dead end... But this time it stubbornly led me straight to the big and old white house on the hill. I wonder if the source could be right next to the house? It was scary that people live there and watch me wander here and there...
There were locks on the doors of the house, but it was clear from the different things in the yard that owners were coming here and that it might be restored.

It's a true magic place:)

It is a big good house with two verandas on the side of the fasad and on the side of the yard. It so interested me, but I didn't see any person around to learn anything about the house!

Apples and autumn flowers. A particularly beautiful combination.

And then I took a risk and went to the garden near this house, in the depth of which I found my dream place.
Unfortunately, there was tall grass and a very steep descent to the water.

Covering the place completely and taking photos that would show it in all its glory is unreal! This is the location that must be seen live...
Someone made a wooden barrier and a small swimming pool formed upstream. The water there is incredibly clean. Stones and sunken trees were visible on the sandy bottom.

It was pleasant to listen to the sound of water in a fabulous place between the garden and the forest. I really appreciate any bodies of water, especially flowing water, because in our region it is a rarity.
It was getting cool, because the day is now short, and I returned to my car.

Good bye, amazing white house...

Our next object is my favorite temple near the castle. It was built at the end of the 18th century as the family church of the owners of the castle, the Zhevusky family. Miraculously, this building has survived over the years! For ten years ago, the church was in a very neglected state and literally began to collapse. Now it is being restored little by little and it is very pleasing!
(Below I give a link to my article with a detailed story about this church. I was there two years ago and I am happy to note that steps have been taken to restore the facade).

These massive columns attract tourists from all over the world... But in the evening on weekdays, there are few people here. Therefore, it is not surprising that there were photo shoots of two pairs of brides and grooms at once.
It was a bit strange, because their wedding had most likely already taken place. I decided to take an example from them and also take a few selfies.
The main thing is to stop on time:)

In the light of the setting sun, this temple looks warm, eternal, old and at the same time young...

The territory of the castle was already closed, but I definitely plan to return.

And I, trying to outrun the sun, went to another mysterious place, which not every tourist knows about!
This is an ancient cemetery on the edge of a hill, near a not-existing church (it was wooden and burned down in 2006, I have never seen it).
The sun accompanied me, but it hid behind the forest and made this place even more mysterious! Orange sky, fog under the forest and crosses that are already two hundred years old, or even more... is this the scenery for some thriller?

But I'm not afraid here. I really like small stone crosses of different shapes and with different interesting sculptural elements. I have described this place in detail, so if you like cemeteries, click on the link!
And I had to go home little by little. It was a wonderful walk that filled me with warmth and joy!
Goodbye, old friend of Pidhirtsi!
