Last week, my Filipino friend who is living in Denmark came to Holland, and she and her cousins wanted to see the tulips, so I invited them over for a phenomenal tulip trip! I picked a beautiful place to go to, with many fields of colorful blooming flowers. The area we drove to is called Callantsoog, a village near the Dutch coast, and near my house, which is usually full of beautiful Tulips. We also went to some other fields we passed by on our way back.
It was a beautiful day, with a very moody sky at one side of the fields, but still lots of sunshine coming from the seaside. We were lucky to find some beautiful blooming fields, which were all at their peak. Soon, the flowers will be all cut off to make its bulb grow better and bigger. The flowers are not the product of the field, the bulb is. But we Dutch are all very lucky that we get to enjoy this stunning landscape a view weeks a year. The area I am living in must be one of the most colorful places in the entire world right now. Truly a dream destination for tourists from all over the world!
Many different colors in a field
My friend Fatima and I met back in 2016 in the Philippines. I stayed with her for a month in Bacolod before she moved out to Denmark to become an au pair. She introduced me to the local life and we made some wonderful trips together.
Have you ever seen such a beautiful flowers?
Fatima's cousins joined too, one is an au pair in the Netherlands, the other one is an Aupair in Denmark. They were extremely happy to finally come here to see the tulips. As they said themselves: A dream coming true!
And if you see those beautiful flowers, how can you not feel a little bit happier? Most people are already happy when they have a bouquet of flowers on the kitchen table, which adds some color to the house, but imagine it being millions of tulips just here at the farms!
Even for me as a Dutch, growing up seeing those flowers every year, I can still say that I love them and they are special. I start to appreciate their beauty every year a bit more, as I realize that I shouldn't take it for granted. There are very few places in the world where you can find this kind of flowery beauty.

When you are on such a beautiful destination, Pictures have to be made! Tell that to Asians and they make millions of pictures, and they are usually also good at it. They are memories they make, and they let their families and especially mothers, who are missing their young girls a lot, experience a little bit of Europe through their pictures. They will be extremely proud seeing that their girls are doing so well, thousands of kilometers away from home. Pictures have a lot of impact, and can connect people more than they already are.
Tulips come in all different sizes and shapes, with this one standing out in the field due to its remarkable shape with its red, pointy leaves.
And another unique tulip. I am not so proud of this unsharp picture, but if you look at the shape of the edges of the leaves, you know what I mean when I tell you those tulips look unique. There is a tulip to everyone's taste!*
One thing I like about this field is that it is a field with all small varieties, which means a lot of different types and colors in one field, instead of just one or two colors. I would like to call it a rainbow field! Only the blue is missing, but blue tulips do not exist.

I hope I made your day a little bit better by showing you this little tulip paradise! I would appreciate a comment or even a reblog if you liked it!
