Have you ever tried onboarding someone into hive.blog and they ended up telling you they have issues creating an account on hive blog.
In my view, creating an account on hive is far more simple and easy compared to other social media like the Facebook or Twitter that asks for more information like date of birth and others.
Unfortunately, it pains me to see people saying they don't understand how to create an account on hive.blog and it is complicated for them.
So, I am making this blog not only for the unregistered people yet to join hive but for those already registered so they can send the link to their referrals to follow the steps to creating an account on hive.
I will be discussing two methods of creating an account on Hive which are;
- Phone verification method through Hive onboard
- Email verification method through Esteem app
RULES FOR SELECTING YOUR UNIQUE HIVE USERNAME
- Your username cannot be less than 3 characters.
- Your username cannot contain more than 16 characters.
- Username not available means the username has been used by another user.
- Username invalid means the character used in the username is not allowed.
- Characters allowed includes alphabet, numbers and hyphen (-).
- Your username should start with a small letter.
- Your username can only begin with a letter and end with either a letter or a number.
NOTE: It is preferably you make use of Brave or Chrome browser when creating an account
HIVE ACCOUNT CREATION THROUGH HIVEONBOARD
Hiveonboard allows you to register on hive free just by using your phone number as a means of verification. To signup, click Link and follow the process and instructions below.
Input your unique Hive Username and tick I agree to the terms and conditions
Then scroll down to download password backup by clicking download backup
Then click Create Hive Account
Select your country code and input your mobile number then click REQUEST SMS
Input the SMS sent to your phone then click submit code
Next in "choose your dapp", scroll down to select hive.blog
You will be directed to https://hive.blog then click the three horizontal lines by the top right corner
Then click on sign in to login into your account
Remember to open your password back up then copy the private posting keys
Then input your username and paste the password copied then click login
You have therefore successfully logged into hive.blog
