Time, without wings flies indefinitely, and I can't believe it's been many years already!
This week's prompt got me all nostalgic as I recount most memorable days in high school.
Before we delve into the subject matter, let me take you on a detour and tell you a little about myself. It is my nature, I simply love telling stories.(smiles).
It is said that names do have bearings on a person's character and this analysis is mostly true. My first name Angelina, not to go to the roots and origins, simply means Angel. And I live my name, well almost. Talk about good, obedient, follow the rules to the core, soft- natured and all the related adjectives, I am there. But underneath my demeanor is a wild and adventurous spirit that rears its head when it's called to duty😂...
"Who left campus without exeat"? not me. "Who did all the bad? I am not the one...
I went to a girls school and in my second year we had a new headmistress who changed a lot of rules. For starters, she collapsed the canteen! for the fact that most students were not going for dinning. Canteen remained collapsed till we completed in our 4th year.

In my third, I felt like a senior would because I was almost in year 4. One evening around 7pm, on a Saturday I asked my friends, "who wants to do something crazy?" They raised their hands without knowing what. Appointing myself as the team lead then said follow me. We walked out of the entertainment hall and I briefed them on how I wanted us to sneak out of campus to go buy food.
They watched as if I had sprouted wings that instant. One asked,"you Angie?, wants to break the rule? I laughed and shrugged.
I didn't know the loopholes but luckily one did and we went round the building to a part where it was walled with wire mesh. There was a part that was broken and was held together with rope. We sneaked out and spent about two hours in town on food and window shopping.
I had a small phone back then and I saw the screen flashing many times by the time we were returning. I finally checked what it was and saw a simple text from a dorm mate; "SOS, roll call." My heart skipped a beat for a second and the only thing I said was "RUN".

I couldn't even explain to my friends but the urgency forced them to follow suit. Thier shouts and questions fell unto death ears till we got the part where we sneaked from. They only had to hear roll to fuel their energy, infact they went ahead of me!.
We got to our dorm, quickly changed into our night wears and laid in our beds for the count.
Being caught would have led us to being deboardinised or suspended.
This was the silliest, craziest and funniest impulsive action I took in high school but I'm glad I made a memory of that.
