Death is a topic we tend to avoid as much as can but at the end of the day, death is inevitable and will catch up to us all. For those of us who believe in heaven and in hell, we are aware that the only way to get to heaven or to hell (God forbid) is by dying but it looks we are not ready yet. Why we feel we aren't ready is a topic for another day.
95% of the world's population do not know when they will die and that is how it has been designed. However, due to certain advancements in the world like in areas of technology and health, some people are able to have an estimation of when they will die. So, this brings us to the topic, "if you had 24 hours to live, what would you do?"
To be very honest, ideally, I would like my last 24 hours to happen while I am very wealthy haha. Scratch that, I am quite content as to how my life is right now so let me walk you through what I would do if I had only 24 hours to live.
Just thinking about that, I wouldn't mind spending my last day alone, in a cinema re watching my favorite movies. But that would look like any of my normal days where I just sit indoors and binge series so let's make another plan.
I would spend as much time as I can reading the Qur'an , praying and making supplications to my maker. I mean, if there was a time to believe in a higher being such as the Almighty, it would be now.
I would spend as much time as I can making memories with my family. I like my family but we do not spend a lot of time together so I would look to mend that. I would create so much memories with them that would last them a while. I would also spend some time with my closest friends making wholesome, positive memories only.
Life is short and instead of fighting with those we love, it's best we spread the love an just make happy memories. Some might say it's selfish to know you are dying and create memories with your loved ones which would only make them miss you more. But I think it is better to leave them with something good to remember you by. What do you think?
In my current state, I would not be able to visit my countries of choice but I would travel to some nice sights around me. There are a lot of nice sceneries in Ghana and I would explore the ones my funds would allow me. The Mole National Park, Mountain Afa Dzato, among others are places I would go to. While doing so, I would stop to watch one last game or maybe two games before my time is up.
I would have loved to watch it live but seeing it's impossible, I would find the largest group or gathering of people and watch a Chelsea match with them. If the game is not Chelsea vs Manchester United, then I would also make the time to watch a Manchester United game praying and hoping they lose so I could tease them one last time. 😂
Oh, how could I forget food, I would go to restaurants looking for my favorite meals and trying out new delicacies. I can't eat much when I am stressed but since I would have already come to terms with my situation, I would try not to think too much about it and eat as much as I can. Food can calm your nerves you know, haha. I am promise you, I am not just saying this because I like food. On the contrary, I don't eat a lot.😂
So, I have covered spending time with my family, with my religion, with my friends, sigh seeing, watching my favorite shows and matches. What's left?, oh yeah. I would in my last 24 hours on earth, make sure I let this one girl know how much she means to me. That might not be fair to her especially if she feels same and I have waited so long to tell her but it's something that needs to be done and I think I would do it. Exiting the world without confessing your feelings would be some way I would like to think.
I would also try to give out as much advice as I can out that will help the people in my life.
