Fried Spicy Broccoli |
---|
Broccoli is the sexiest vegetable I have ever encountered, I am always looking for various inspirations for processed broccoli. Because vegetables are filling and low in calories, broccoli stock is never missing in my house. So, even though I like it, that doesn't mean I enjoy broccoli every day, but other vegetables are also on the menu at home. This time I tried making broccoli which I usually boil straight away to eat, but this time I will try frying broccoli in flour. Of course, with a choice of spices that suit my taste buds. Actually there are not many combinations in this dish, I only added lime leaves and celery leaves. These leaves are useful as an aroma enhancer and a different taste from the broccoli that you usually enjoy around you.
Flour fried broccoli will also be very good if you fry it in an air fryer, but if you don't have one, you can fry it directly in oil. Just before enjoying, make sure to drain the fried broccoli and also wipe it with a tissue so that too much oil doesn't stick to the fried broccoli meat.
So, here I will invite you to prepare the following favorite snacks!
Materials Used |
---|
1 tablespoon chili powder
5 spoons of rice flour
1 tablespoon cornstarch
4 lime leaves
2 stalks of celery leaves
Salt to taste
Cooking Procedure |
---|
I started by preparing the broccoli, I boiled the broccoli that I used first for about 3 minutes in boiling water. Next, I cut the lime leaves and celery leaves into small pieces.
Prepare the rice flour in a container, then mix the chili powder into the flour and stir until evenly mixed.
Stir in the chili powder evenly, so if you want it spicier you can add more chili powder.
Add lime leaves and celery leaves to the flour mixture.
Then season with 1 teaspoon of salt and also a teaspoon of mushroom stock. Then add cornstarch so it will be crispier later.
Add water then stir until evenly mixed, until it has medium consistency. So make sure the level of viscosity is right so that when you fry the flour it will still blend with the vegetables.
Dip the boiled broccoli pieces then fry in heated oil. Fry until golden brown, or until the outer skin is crispy.
Serving Suggestions |

Serve the crispy fried broccoli with your favorite sauce, here I added tomato sauce then sprinkled it with sesame seeds. Feeling the fragrant aroma of orange leaves is enough to make these fried foods very exciting to enjoy. Just look at the perfect maturity of the outer skin so that when you bite it it will be crunchy. For those of you who love crunchy dishes and are looking for vegan snacks, this is the right choice for you.
The spicy taste sensation, with a savory combination is enough to pamper my tongue. Moreover, its texture is always tempting. I highly recommend you to enjoy this while it's warm because the crunchy texture and aroma of the lime leaves are more pronounced when the dish is enjoyed at warm temperatures.
