Today is the first time I made an unusual preparation of kale, namely using mashed tempeh as a chili sauce. As you know, tempeh is a very delicious vegetable protein, its delicious texture and taste really makes hunger increase no matter how it is cooked.
Kale with tempe sauce is a dish that I made for my lunch today. This time this dish was inspired by a recipe that appeared on my social media homepage. How about that time I saw them using decomposed tempeh to make a combination with vegetables. So, because I don't really like tempeh that has rotted, I use fresh tempeh which I fry, then mash it and mix it with quite a variety of ground spices.
Materials Used
½ board tempeh
4 red onions
2 cloves of garlic
5 cayenne peppers
Salt and sugar to taste
Cooking Procedure
Step 1
Cut the kale leaves into small pieces, then cut into pieces and soak for 5 minutes in salt water.
Step 2
Cut the tempeh into small pieces, then marinate with salt for approximately 3 minutes.
Step 3
Just fry the tempeh until half cooked, because I want a soft texture here.
Step 4
Grind or mash the tempeh with a texture that is not too smooth, now look at the texture like I did.
Step 5
Blender, chilies and shallots and white until smooth.
Step 6
Then add the ground spices to the ground tempeh, stir the mixture until evenly mixed.
Step 7
After stirring thoroughly, heat a little oil then stir-fry the tempeh chili sauce.
Step 8
Add enough water, then season with salt and stir until evenly mixed.
Step 9
Add kale leaves that have been soaked in salt water, stir and cook until the vegetables are cooked, don't forget to adjust the taste.
Results
Stir-fried kale with tempeh sauce is ready to be enjoyed, I enjoy this as my lunch. The savory and soft taste of tempeh combines perfectly with kale vegetables. A miracle of taste, this is very delicious, before I never knew that tempe chili sauce combined with kale leaves gives a distinctive taste. So, for those of you who like dishes with a slightly spicy and savory taste, this is the right dish.
It's not good to eat too much kale, but consuming the appropriate portion will be better. Usually I enjoy kale dishes twice a month or less. So, even though this vegetable is my favorite, I always vary the types of vegetables that I consume. Isn't eating the same dishes for a whole week enough to make us bored? Therefore, avoid this and eat in moderation. What is certain is to make variations in any dish you want to prepare at home. Just like what I'm doing right now.
