Steamed Glutinous Rice Corn Cake

This delicious snack of glutinous rice and corn is the best dish for loved ones at home right now. So what if we serve these snacks attractively by steaming them, of course they are healthy and filling!



Yesterday I visited your mother's house, well, as usual, I made snacks and went to my mother's kitchen. Today I will make snacks for my mother, lately she has been very tired of preparing to sell them. Even though I helped, the hot fire when cooking on firewood was very stifling. After making a drink to relax later, I also want to make a steamed healthy snack. You can find the ingredients very easily, namely corn and glutinous rice, which are combined with grated coconut.

Actually, this cake is very legendary, and is often used as a traditional snack that is served during certain events. Ingredients

100 grams of sticky rice
1 piece of corn
200 ml of coconut milk
200 grams of grated coconut
100 grams of sugar




Cooking Steps


Step 1
Soak the glutinous rice for about 20 minutes, then set aside and drain first.

Cut the corn kernels in a clean container then set aside.

Cook the coconut milk over low heat, then add the soaked rice and stir until evenly distributed.

Cook until the coconut milk thickens, then add the shelled corn and stir again.

Cook until the coconut milk dries up and doesn't contain water anymore.

Then add the sugar and a teaspoon of salt, stir and finally add the grated coconut.

Step 7
After the dough is ready, start preparing the cake mold, put a little grated coconut on top then add it to the cake mixture that was cooked earlier.

Do it until all the dough is finished, then prepare the steamer to heat it first.

Then steam for about 20 minutes, cool briefly then remove from the mold.

Glutinous rice corn steamed cakes are ready to be enjoyed, serve while warm to accompany you while enjoying tea, it will be very delicious. My mother loves this cake so much, she said it won't be enough because there's only a little!. I finished taking pictures of him leaving only a few pieces of cake that made me laugh. He said it was very good, the taste was perfect, the grated coconut, corn and sticky rice blended perfectly.

The taste is not in doubt, the natural sweetness from corn is very delicious and special. I think this is the best cake for my mom when relaxing, she is happy and loves it.
