Yesterday I traveled to my sister's house, and I stayed for a few days here. I really like the atmosphere here, apart from being busy, here we always cook quite a lot for some of my cute nieces. I love being at home especially in my sister's kitchen, I always consider it as my own home. Well cooking is my hobby so being in my brother's kitchen is what I usually do, don't be surprised if my kitchen today has a different nuance. The weather today in my area was different from usual, heavy rains started to flush this rural area, even though it was only 9 am. This makes me and even all my nephews so lazy to go out let alone buy something delicious to enjoy together.
My nephews, very busy, you know they can't play outside the house all day today. So it really makes them bored, even repeatedly opening the lid of the food at the dinner table to find something to enjoy. A moment later they said they were hungry, and their faces were very pitiful. It's very coincidental that I brought some corn yesterday, I think processing it into something snacks than usual will definitely make them happy and like it, right? My choice this time was focused on the dishes they liked the most, they even had snacks every day at the school.
Corn Balls (Corn Cilok)
Corn cilok is a popular snack in my country, but usually cilok does not use vegetables. At first glance, this food is very similar to meatballs, but there are significant differences in the composition of this dish, so people are more familiar with it as cilok. Actually cilok that I know stands for plugged aci, or more simply made from aci flour which is known as tapioca flour. Usually cilok is combined with meat or even eggs. So, on this occasion, I will give you the latest vegan recipe. Surely you can easily make it at home and are very liked by various groups.

2 celery leaves
2 cloves of garlic

Cut the carrots small, I cut them into cubes.
Step 2
Boil the carrots and corn for 7 minutes, or until the texture is medium rare.
Step 3
Grind the garlic until fine, grind it using a pestle or your chopper so that it doesn't contain water.
Step 4
Prepare carrots, celery and corn, then add flour
Step 5
Add salt then continue by adding tapioca flour.
Step 6
Stir everything and add 2 tablespoons of warm water, mix the dough until it has an easy-to-shape texture.
Step 7
Take a little dough, then shape the dough into a small round shape or according to taste.
Step 8
Round until the mixture runs out, then boil the water until it boils.
Step 9
Boil the vegetable balls with the water until the balls are cooked or for about 10 minutes.
Step 10
Now, if the ball has been lifted, it means the vegetable ball is ready to be served.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with your favorite sauce, here I make the sauce myself. For the sauce, I started cooking tomato sauce with sweet soy sauce and 1 crushed chili. Cook until cooked then mix with cilok vegetables into the sauce. Then cook the vegetable cilok briefly in the sauce until the ball is completely absorbed.
If you want to enjoy it with a different sauce at your home that too would be better. Now because I want a sweet sauce with a creamy texture so I don't add chili sauce in it. My nephew finished the cilok vegetables in an instant, even I only tried 1 seed. They say it's delicious! The taste of corn, as well as other vegetables can replace the meat. Besides, I think this is the best alternative way for children to enjoy vegetables. Believe me, add any vegetables they will definitely like it!
The soft, chewy and sweet taste of corn and carrots blends perfectly. These are delicious vegetable balls and are highly appreciated by all groups. Enjoy this perfect dish!
Look at my nieces' fussiness, when they interrupt me while I'm cooking. This is only a small part, I did not have time to take pictures of them while they were enjoying this dish. Ignore those who don't wear clothes, my nephew really didn't want to wear them at that time!
