This is @Aliento's first post in English.
Even though this project was originally created to help the Spanish speaking community, we want to broaden our reach and also help the worldwide community. English is a language that is spoken by a lot of people over the world. Most countries have their own language but when we are speaking business, specially Blockchain and Crypto we may have to speak in English. That's why I want to present this project to the English speaking community too.
What is aliento?
In Spanish "aliento" means breath but in this context the word wants to point out to the action of encouraging someone to do the right thing or to keep going. This project was born in march of 2018,for a short time was semi-busy community, we even had our own Discord server and we started helping some people that arrived there. This project was created by me (@eddiespino) and my wife (@grisvisa). I soon found out that I did not wanted to mange a community, first I had to grow myself to be able to give something back to the people. So the community died before even starting.

The project was on the shelf for almost two years. The original vision was to be able to give good votes to the community, curate content and motivate people through comments, tips, recommendations and chatting with people to help them solve their doubts. I knew I did not want to be involved in chat groups, that was one of the reasons I closed the Discord servers, but I do like helping people one on one. So that's what I have been doing.
Aliento is a curation project that also helps new and not that new users to find their place in HIVE.
Aliento works closely with the @HiveMexico Community.
Aliento is not a community, but we work with many different communites.
What are the goals of aliento?
Before talking about goals I want to share where we are right now.
- Aliento has a little over 9,200 Hive Power delegated mostly by me and my wife.
- The goal is to reach at least 100k Hive power so we can truly motivate users through manual curation
- We started around three weeks ago, we have made some posts and all the winnings have been tp 100% HP.
- We do not plan on making trivial curation reports, maybe we will not post daily but we will post tutorials, guides, tips and our general view about Hive at least once a week.
The account was almost empty 30 days ago, we had less then 4 HivePower, now we have over 270 HivePower. I know it's not a lot when we compare it with big projects like @OCD and event @HiveHustlers, but we have the goal to continue growing day by day.
One of the goals for aliento is to win at least 10 dollars worth of Hive in curation rewards daily, that will make the project profitable and at the same time we will be giving great value to the community.
Right now we are generating around 5 dollars a week in curation. We have to at least 14x this this amount in the next three to four months.
How is Aliento helping reach the goal to be a Digital Entrepreneur
Aliento is giving me a reason to work harder on Hive. Every post that we make will help @aliento in some way. For the moment all the HivePower that it is generated on my account and my wife's account is going to be delegated to aliento, and that is a great motivation for us. Also aliento is making me think inmore ways to help Hive, right now I'm in the process of developing some ideas to new users understand better how Hive works. I have plans to make a website and to add tutorials and helpful things. Right now that is still a project and it may change, the goal is to increase the HivePower first as I said.
Being a digital entrepreneur is something that I have wanted to achieve for a very long time. Having this project, even if right now is small, is giving me that opportunity. Aliento will help me connect with more people inside and outside of Hive and if things go as planned it will become a place for new users to find information about Hive and support in their first steps.
Aliento also strives to be the bridge between users, developers and investors and influential hivers.
Conclusion
I will keep looking for support, I know getting delegations is not easy, but that it's why I'm doing a lot of work right now and deleting all my power to the account. My current financial situation doesn't let me invest but I'm also working to change that.

I almost forgot, my wife is working on a logo an a new mascot for this account, should be ready in a few days or in a week. She is going to post it on her account @grisvisa and we plan to set aliento as a beneficiary of all the rewards.
