Here my entry for the CCC's Street Art Contest #86 with a cool mural done by Gene Pendon in 2016 as a tribute to Quebec theater with the anniversary of the creation of the Théâtre de Quat'Sous in Montreal .
Voici mon entrée pour l'édition de cette semaine du CCC's Street Art Contest #86 avec cette murale faite par Gene Pendon en 2016 en hommage au théâtre québécois avec l'anniversaire de la création du Théâtre de Quat’Sous à Montréal :
The mural is divided into two parts on two different buildings. I had to wait for winter to have trees without leaves otherwise these two murals are well hidden by vegetation.
La murale se divise en deux parties sur deux immeubles différents. J'ai dû attendre l'hiver pour avoir des arbres sans feuilles sinon ces deux murales sont bien cachées par la végétation.

Gene Pendon
Gene Pendon was born in 1971 in Ottawa. He studied at Concordia University in Montreal and graduated in Painting and Drawing in 1991. Since then, he has been based in Montreal where he has created many murals often for Mu Montreal like this mural. He's one of the founders of Heavyweight: HVW8, an art gallery and music production company based in Los Angeles, Berlin and Montreal.
Gene Pendon est né en 1971 à Ottawa. Il a fait ses études à l'Université Concordia à Montréal pour obtenir son diplôme en Peinture et Dessin en 1991. Depuis, il est basé à Montréal ou il a réalisé de nombreuses murales souvent pour l'organisme Mu Montreal comme pour cette murale. Il est un des fondateurs de Heavyweight : HVW8, une galerie d'art et une maison de production de musique basée Los Angeles, Berlin et Montréal.

Hommage au Théâtre de Quat'Sous
This mural was painted in 2016 to mark the 60th anniversary of the creation of the Théâtre des Quat'Sous, one of the oldest and most important theater in Montreal, founded by Yvon Deschamps, Paul Buissonneau, Claude Léveillée and Jean-Louis Millette. This work is part of the same collection as the one I presented at the 85 edition of the contest made by Kevin Ledo to pay tribute to Janine Sutto CCC's Street Art Contest #85, Kevin Ledo, Montreal.
Cette murale a été peinte en 2016 pour souligner le 60ème anniversaire de la création du Théâtre des Quat'Sous, l’un des plus anciens et des plus importants à Montréal, fondé par Yvon Deschamps, Paul Buissonneau, Claude Léveillée et Jean-Louis Millette. Cette œuvre fait partie de la même collection que celle que j'avais présentée lors de l'édition 85 du concours faite par Kevin Ledo pour rendre hommage à Janine Sutto CCC's Street Art Contest #85, Kevin Ledo, Montreal.
