Waking up to Crypto Shots
Sunday started out as usual with me waking up early so that I can participate in the Crypto Shots tournament. Blurry eyed with coffee in hand I did my best to help my team. Whilst this week I did not win any rewards it was fun as always with over eight people joining in . I know that eight is not a lot of people, but the server can hold up-to eight people so that means we can all play in one server. Also having enough for one server makes for great entertainment as I also listen to @crypto-zard’s live stream on twitch in the background. This allows me to fully immerse myself in this tournament for an hour of my day. Some of the players even stay back and play some games after the tournament which is always fun and now with more game modes, like capture the flag and Free for all, it is even more fun.

Bushwalking with the Kid’s
After this I took a look at Hive and played my usual games, Splinterlands, Rising Star, Terracore and Golem Overlord. These game along with Crypto Shots are my favourite games on Hive at the moment.
After getting some things done around the house and having some lunch, the kids asked to go bush walking. The weather here in Australia has already started to warm up even though Spring has only just started. I feel like it could be a dry and hot Summer, but I guess time will tell if that is what will happen.
We live at the base of a hill called Scenic Hill and to get there we just have to go over the road to the park and we can then walk on the tracks that go all over the Hill. As we started walking along one of the trails I realised that we did not bring any water, so I told the Kids that we would not go too far as we did not bring any water. They agreed and we continued along the path. I also let them know that it is a warm day and that snakes maybe around, so be carefully and keep a look out.
We first walked up to the lookout closest to where we live. Whilst there I managed to get some photos of some birds that I think are Rainbow Lorikeet’s. They were just eating something they had found on the ground, possibly some grass seeds maybe.
Continuing along the tracks I saw two birds in a tree . They flew away as I took a photo of them.
On our way back home we also saw a Kangaroo. I told the kids not to make any noise and I was able to get a photo of it.
The kangaroo seemed to be up phased by our presence and just stood there looking at us. As we went to continue on our way home I heard a rustle in the grass and I waited to see what came out. As I suspected it was a snake and we moved on so it could go about it’s day and us not get bitten. The snake appeared to be an Eastern Brown snake or possibly a King Brown snake. Both of these are poisonous and would end up with us having to go to hospital. Whilst you can die from a snake bite most people these days can get to a Hospital in time and I can not remember the last time the news said that someone had died from being bitten. Yes that’s right @beccss a snake!
Even with this knowledge I have no intentions of being bitten to test the theory. As my dad did with me I try to teach my kids about the land and the animals and how it is important to be wary of the dangerous ones as they are part of our world and it is better to avoid them and allow them to enjoy their lives and us enjoy ours.

Another game that I am having a lot of fun with right now is @cryptoshots.nft. If you like FPS games and you have not checked this out yet then you should. Lately Once a week they have been having a tournament where you can play PVP with others and have some fun. If that is not enough they also have prizes.
