¡Hola Chicos!
Me gusta mucho la cocina, pero sobre todo me gusta todo lo referente a la repostería y la panadería. Hace un par de años logré hacer mis primeros panes con éxito siguiendo una receta de internet y desde entonces siempre que puedo preparo pancitos para mi familia.
Por supuesto todo es un conocimiento leve que se va perfeccionando de a poco con la práctica y uno que otro video que se ve por internet.
Pero sin dudas, no es lo mismo que si una persona experta en el tema te lo explica en vivo y directo y te cuenta además los secretos para lograr un pan perfecto.
Así que cuando me enteré de las inscripciones para estos cursos, corrí al sitio para inscribirme. Estos son dictados en una escuela exclusiva para cursos en diferentes áreas, y además como requerimientos solo pedían la colaboración de 1$ y la copia de la cédula.
Desde hace tiempo había querido inscribirme, pero por todo lo de la pandemia pedían como requisito llevar el cartón de la vacuna contra el COVID. Yo no estoy vacunada, y no tengo intenciones de hacerlo aún, por lo que no pude inscribirme antes.
Pero ya se han vuelto un poco más flexibles con todo este asunto y ya no es algo obligatorio, lo que me hizo saltar de la emoción porque tenía muchas ganas de inscribirme y aprender con los mejores. ♥

I like cooking very much, but especially I like everything related to pastry and baking. A couple of years ago I managed to make my first breads successfully following a recipe from the internet and since then whenever I can I prepare little breads for my family.
Of course everything is a slight knowledge that is perfected little by little with practice and the occasional video that you see on the internet.
But undoubtedly, it is not the same as if a person who is an expert on the subject explains it to you live and direct and also tells you the secrets to achieve a perfect bread.
So when I found out about the inscriptions for these courses, I ran to the site to sign up. These are dictated in an exclusive school for courses in different areas, and also as requirements only asked for the collaboration of $ 1 and a copy of the identity card.
I had wanted to enroll for some time, but because of the pandemic, they asked me to bring my COVID vaccination card as a requirement. I am not vaccinated, and I have no intention of getting it yet, so I could not register before.
But they've become a little more flexible with this whole thing and it's no longer mandatory, which made me jump with excitement because I really wanted to sign up and learn with the best. ♥
Llegó el tan esperado día y yo me armé de valor. Tengo varios años que no estudio, la última vez fue cuando mi hijo tenía 3 años (ahorita tiene casi 11 años). El comenzar nuevamente a hacer algo de forma individual tan lejos de casa es una sensación extraña pero chévere porque sé que de esto van a salir cosas buenas y positivas tanto para mi como para mi familia. ♥
Y también me armé de valor porque yo no acostumbro a salir con celular (debido a la inseguridad del país) y en este nuevo comienzo dije que lo iba a hacer porque quiero documentar todo el curso para compartirlo con ustedes y puedan sacar provecho, al igual que yo, de mi experiencia. También porque es una manera de mantener los conocimientos fresquitos. Cada vez que quiera podré revisar mis post y reforzar los conocimientos adquiridos esos días.
The long awaited day arrived and I plucked up the courage. I haven't studied for several years, the last time was when my son was 3 years old (now he is almost 11 years old). Starting again to do something individually so far away from home is a strange but cool feeling because I know that good and positive things will come out of this for me and my family. ♥
And I also took courage because I don't usually go out with a cell phone (due to the insecurity of the country) and in this new beginning I said I was going to do it because I want to document the whole course to share it with you and you can take advantage, like me, of my experience. Also because it is a way to keep the knowledge fresh. Whenever I want I will be able to review my posts and reinforce the knowledge acquired those days.
La escuela se llama Ana María Campos y queda Tía Juana, una zona del Municipio Simón Bolívar, Estado Zulia. Es una escuela para el emprendimiento de jóvenes a partir de los 15 años y adultos.
Sus instalaciones son lo que anteriormente era una casa de la zona, que luego fue adaptada para poder dar clases en ella.
Al llegar me senté en unos banquitos que estaban ubicados en el frente a esperar que llegaran los otros alumnos del curso.
El sol estaba fuerte y el calor me tenía súper sofocada. Mi cara lo dice todo, trataba de mantener la compostura pero no era fácil.
Ahí tocó esperar unos 30 minutos, porque las otras personas a pesar de que se había dicho que la clase era a la 1 pm, llegaron súper tarde.
The school is called Ana María Campos and is located in Tía Juana, an area of the Simón Bolívar Municipality, Zulia State. It is a school for entrepreneurship for young people from 15 years of age and adults.
Its facilities are what used to be a house in the area, which was later adapted to be able to give classes there.
When I arrived, I sat down on some benches in front of the school to wait for the other students to arrive.
The sun was strong and the heat had me super suffocated. My face said it all, I tried to keep my composure but it was not easy.
I had to wait there for about 30 minutes, because the other people, even though they had said that the class was at 1 pm, arrived super late.
Anteriormente en el frente de la institución habían unos árboles que hacían bastante sombra, pero fueron talados porque según lo que escuché, estaban ocasionando daños en la acera y en la cerca.
Entonces los quitaron y en su lugar van a instalar un techo de zinc para crear un ambiente más fresco y libre de los terribles rayos de sol.
Eso lo harán esta semana y ya para nuestra primer clase contaremos con este tan esperado techo, pues las clases de panadería y repostería son dictadas en esta zona al aire libre.
Previously there were some trees in front of the institution that provided a lot of shade, but they were cut down because according to what I heard, they were causing damage to the sidewalk and the fence.
So they removed them and in their place they are going to install a zinc roof to create a cooler environment free from the terrible rays of the sun.
That will be done this week and for our first class we will have this long awaited roof, as the bakery and pastry classes are taught in this open air area.
Cuando por fin pudimos comenzar la primera clase, la profesora pasó la lista para comprobar la asistencia, luego nos explicó las reglas de vestimenta y asistencia.
Llegó el momento de comenzar a anotar y todos sacamos nuestros cuadernos y lápiz. Nos dictaron todo el contenido que veríamos en el curso.
Esto me emocionó mucho porque son muchas las preparaciones que aprenderemos en estas 16 semanas de curso. ♥
When we were finally able to start the first class, the teacher went through the roll call to check attendance, then explained the dress code and attendance rules.
It was time to start taking notes and we all took out our notebooks and pencils. We were dictated all the content we would see in the course.
This made me very excited because there are so many preparations that we will learn in these 16 weeks of the course. ♥
Luego nos dieron la receta para nuestras primeras 3 preparaciones que serán: Pan francés, pan campesino y roll de canela.
Luego multiplicamos por dos estas recetas, por la cantidad de alumnos que somos, y nos dividimos los materiales.
A mi me toca llevar medio kilo de azúcar.
Ya luego nos dieron las recomendaciones finales en cuanto a las marcas que debemos comprar de cada cosa y finalizó esta primera clase.
Then we were given the recipe for our first 3 preparations which will be: French bread, peasant bread and cinnamon roll.
We then multiplied these recipes by two, for the number of students we are, and divided the materials.
It is my turn to bring half a kilo of sugar.
Then we were given the final recommendations as to the brands that we should buy of each thing and this first class ended.
Aunque el ambiente estaba sofocante, la verdad fue bien chévere la clase introductoria. La profesora parece ser una persona muy amable, al igual que los pocos compañeros que asistieron ese día.
Espero con ansias nuestra segunda clase de panadería y deseo con todo el alma que este listo el techo para ese día 😂🙏.
La próxima semana les traeré las actualizaciones y por menores de la clase. ♥
Although the atmosphere was stifling, the introductory class was really cool. The teacher seems to be a very nice person, as well as the few classmates who attended that day.
I am looking forward to our second baking class and wish with all my soul that the roof is ready for that day 😂🙏.
