Hello to all feline colleagues and cat lovers in this community. My name is Ying and I recently told you about the transfer that humans and I had from a rural area to the city. Without a doubt, the change from living in a house in the country, to a small apartment, has been quite strange for me. But little by little I have been adapting to the new location of my things, thanks to the help and understanding of my humans. You know, they treat us as if we were babies, even though we are neutered adult cats. Although in this case, I am glad that they are so attentive to me and my needs, doing everything possible to make this drastic change the least traumatic for me.

Anyway, this week I've been pretty calm. Unlike when I arrived here, when I spent most of my time hidden among the many things they still have packed. That's a bad thing according to humans, but for me, it not only works as a playground, but also as a perfect hideaway for when I'm feeling anxious. Especially when it starts to rain, I get really scared of the sound, so I tend to get a little upset. At those times, my humans come over to try to calm me down. They are very attentive.

I have gotten so used to it that I have even gone out a couple of times with the harness. They have been quick walks, but at least they have allowed me to see the outside. For the rest, I'm content to see the world from the window, because there is a lot of movement outside and other animals that I don't expect to run into.

Also, I have been encouraged to play again. I have several toys: A shoelace, Styrofoam balls, corks, dolls... but I think my favorite activity is running and chasing humans or jumping on them when they least expect it. Sure, sometimes they get upset, but then they forgive me because they know I'm playing.

But as my humans have noticed, I feel comfortable enough in this place to resume my cat naps. You know that for proper health, cats need several naps throughout the day. I've taken over the youngest human's bed, so that's where I usually spend my most rest time. How lucky it is that I let him sleep next to me, don't you think?

CONTENIDO EN ESPAÑOL

Hola a todos los colegas felinos y amantes de gatos de ésta comunidad. Mi nombre es Ying y hace poco les relaté acerca del traslado que los humanos y yo, tuvimos desde una zona campestre hasta la ciudad. Sin duda, el cambio de vivir en una casa en el campo, a un pequeño apartamento, ha sido bastante extraño para mí. Pero poco a poco me he ido amoldando a la nueva ubicación de mis cosas, gracias a la ayuda y comprensión de mis humanos. Ya saben, ellos nos tratan como si fuésemos unos bebés, aunque seamos unos gatos adultos castrados. Aunque en éste caso, me alegro de que estén tan pendiente de mí y mis necesidades, haciendo lo posible para que éste cambio tan drástico, sea lo menos traumático para mí.

En fin, ésta semana he estado bastante tranquilo. A diferencia de cuando llegué aquí, que me la pasaba la mayor parte del tiempo oculto entre las múltiples cosas que tienen embaladas todavía. Eso es algo negativo según los humanos, pero para mí, no sólo funciona como un sitio de juegos, sino también como un escondite perfecto para cuando me siento ansioso. Sobre todo cuando comienza a llover, me da mucho miedo el sonido, así que suelo alterarme un poco. En esos momentos, mis humanos se acercan para intentar calmarme. Son muy atentos.

Me he acoplado tanto que hasta he salido un par de veces con el arnés. Han sido paseos rápidos, pero al menos me han permitido ver el exterior. Del resto, me conformo con ver el mundo desde la ventana, porque hay mucho movimiento afuera y otros animales con los que no espero toparme.

También, me he animado a jugar de nuevo. Tengo varios juguetes: Un cordón de zapato, pelotas de poliestireno, corchos, muñecos... pero creo que mi actividad favorita es correr y perseguir a los humanos o saltar encima de ellos cuando menos se lo espere. Claro, a veces se molestan, pero luego me perdonan porque saben que estoy jugando.

Pero como han notado mis humanos, me siento lo suficientemente cómodo en éste lugar como para volver a retomar mis siestas gatunas. Ustedes saben que para una salud adecuada, los gatos necesitamos varias siestas a lo largo del día. Me he apoderado de la cama del humano más joven, así que, es donde suelo pasar mis mayores tiempos de descanso. Que afortunado es que lo deje dormir a mi lado ¿No creen?
