Weekend but it's work for me! After completing my allocation for the day I decided to take a few hours as annual leave and get away early to take advantage of the lovely sunny weather.
My wife wanted a few bits at the shops so off we went and had a coffee too. After that I was free to get out on my bike at last!
I passed a really lovely bluebell wood along the way. Track conditions were excellent due to the unusually dry spring we are having.
The round trip was 13 miles and that was plenty on a workday. My Garmin app says 3days recovery so I'll take it easy at work tomorrow.
The second half of this route is the best as it's mostly forest tracks. Quite hilly so a few challenging climbs as well.
Eventually reaching Buchan Park lake to finish the ride. I do this route a lot as there are so many different tracks to choose from to keep it interesting.
A very satisfying ride in some wonderful scenery.
