I relaxed for most of the day, this being my first day off work. I visited family members which was great to see two of my grandchildren as well.
Towards evening I realised that I didn't have any beer left at home! π± That was a call to action!
So off I went to one of our supermarkets (we have two within ten minutes walk). Along the way I passed through a town park which I don't often visit and so I took some pictures.

This park includes our town bowling club. There is a sad looking garden area with iron gates (main picture) with dates 1947 - 1997 CBC. I think this refers to the Crawley Bowling Club. The garden has clearly been neglected for many years and is badly overgrown with weeds.
There is a cricket ground and another feature which is curious!

A fenced off area for a game called Petanque.
I think more commonly called Boules.

This was a pleasant walk this evening with warm sunshine, a nice break from the recent rain clouds. I felt quite hot in the sweater that I was wearing.

I didn't record this walk on my GPS watch but it seemed longer than it took. Such was the enjoyment of the experience. One of those unplanned, on the spur of the moment things which can be a real pleasure.

I'm now going to enjoy my beer while writing this report! πΊπ
