This morning I got up early to repot the basil plants bought yesterday. I patiently started to separate the roots that were unifying to put each seedling in a separate pot. On one pair I paired them in a slightly larger pot.
An intense unproductive cloud has broken the series of serene days ringed in the last 20 days. It is not that it threatens to rain but see Vesuvius covered with clouds so it seemed a distant memory.
In the morning I had to go back to the supermarket where I was yesterday because I needed a new hairdryer because my old one passed away. I got an ecological model that doesn’t consume a lot of electricity.
In the evening I went down with a friend of mine to go to Naples. The traffic in the city today is very intense. It seems that the whole city thought about going down to the waterfront at the same time of night.
The long wait in the car and all the mess made to slip a shortcut after another to try to get a little 'earlier was worth it because the lights on the promenade, tonight, provided a spectacular setting unique in the world.
The Castel dell'Ovo was lit in pink in honor of the Giro d'Italia that made a stop in Naples last Saturday. But actually it doesn’t look pink at all but it is a color that is very close to that of wine. Evidently it has drunk too much
The hill of Posillipo is always enchanting at this time of night and the sky has a very pure color. We also begin to feel a bit 'of cold in the face of predictions that indicated temperatures around 34-35 - C. They have just made a resounding mistake. Sometimes, who publishes the weather forecast, exaggerates to have some display a plus to the weather page. If you make a big mistake, the predictions make you lose credibility. This is pure weather-idiocy.
Here I am looking with amazement at the wonders of my city that is always #alive and is the right place to play the #iamalivechallenge. Today I am alive in the turtleneck of the Neapolitan capital.
