Happy Tuesday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I am definitely grateful for this October day💯. It's been another ordinary day and it's now time to wrap things up and get ready for bed 💤. As always thank you for stopping by and let's quickly take a look at how my stepping went and also share some of the day's trending stories. Come on 💨.
So as usual I had two major walking sessions. Starting off with the fast paced morning session that was quite enjoyable in the fresh morning breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the little daily household chores. Later in the afternoon I stopped by the shopping centre for some cooking groceries. I squeezed my nap into the rest of the afternoon. Then the final evening walk happened before I got back home safe and sound calling it a day. Of course in between I was watching the news including crypto , lets get into that next.
Trending locally, the usual political shenanigans😹 kept going, otherwise a quiet day. Oh, today was a meaningless national holiday🙀.
Globally, the world's attention still on that war in Israel. Today Hamas targeted the port city of Ashkelon in Israel firing a barrage of rockets🙀.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army kept bombarding the Gaza strip with air, naval and artillery strikes. Gaza health ministry has put the death toll at 835 with over 4,000 injured😭. The hospitals are overwhelmed with supplies quickly running out🙀.
In Israel families gathered at a military morgue in the city of Ramla to identify bodies of loved ones. The bodies of Israelis are being recovered from settlements near Gaza border after that attack from Hamas. The death toll is over 900😭.
Across the pond in the US president Biden has strongly condemned that Hamas attack calling it evil and emphasized that the US will stand with Israel. He also confirmed that 14 Americans had been killed in the attacks and that some more had been taken as hostages😭.
Also trending, Iran supreme leader has denied any involvement in the Hamas attack on Israel. He has however praised the bravery of Hamas and said Israel underestimated the Palestinians🙀. I don't think Hamas carried out this single handedly though😹.
Finally, in crypto news, FTX founder Sam Bankman Fried today faced his ex girlfriend, Caroline Ellison in court. She has started testifying as the case picks pace. SBF will be facing a really long sentence if found guilty🙀. Let's keep watching to see how it goes.
