When you're out and about in cities and have a wide-angle lens with you, it often pays to look upwards. This was also the case when I was standing in this courtyard in the middle of Berlin. In Photoshop, I added two more floors to the building and removed a few distracting elements on the roof to visually emphasize the octagon shape. However, the two birds are not from Photoshop. I really captured them at the perfect moment. Below you can see the original image after the basic editing in Lightroom.
Wenn man in Städten unterwegs ist und ein Weitwinkel-Objektiv dabei hat, zahlt es sich sehr oft aus, auch mal nach oben zu blicken. So war es auch der Fall, als ich in diesem Innenhof mitten in Berlin stand. In Photoshop fügte ich dem Gebäude noch zwei weitere Stockwerke hinzu, und entfernte ein paar störende Elemente auf dem Dach um die Octagon-Form visuell stärker zu betonen. Die beiden Vögel stammen aber nicht aus Photoshop. Diese hatte ich wirklich im perfekten Moment erwischt. Unten seht ihr noch das ursprüngliche Foto nach der Basis-Bearbeitung in Lightroom.
