An Update on My Housing Situation - Moving Soon...

I have lived in the above house, since May 2021, and during my stay here I have thoroughly enjoyed the panoramic views and surrounding nature. In all honesty, I have never had a view from my toilet seat as beautiful as this one.

But now it's time to move on and start a new chapter.

This house is going to be sold and I won't be the one buying it.

After four and a half years in the Portugese mountains and ( later ) the countryside, I decided to move to the nearest and - more importantly - my favorite little city.

It's still very closeby ( 5km ), so I'm basically staying in the same area and it's surely going to be more convenient for me, in a bunch of ways.

I don't drive a car so moving to a little city instead of staying on a hill, at half an hour walking distance from a tiny village, will make me less dependent on others.

I will also have more diversity where to get my food from, can decide 'when' I buy things and am already looking forward to sitting in the several cafés and little restaurants and being more social, meeting more new people, overall.

This town is also a place that many of my friends and acquaintances visit regularly, so I will probably receive many messages - from next month onward - of them asking me if I'm available for a drink, snack, walk when they visit town.

Looking forward to that!

Long story short:

I'll be moving out, in three weeks, on February the 1st, and will receive the keys of my new apartment on the 20th, 9 days from now.

I'm so excited!

I just can't hide it...

This is gonna be my future view:

Kind of underwhelming but then again I have been spoilt for years now and nature is just around the corner. This will motivate me to actually go out ( even ) more, instead of just enjoying the view from my window and or terrace, as I'm used to doing here ;>)

Would you believe that this is actually the main street of this town haha! That might give you an idea of its size.

TO BE CONVINUED...
