Hi all 👋🏻
Let’s fly with me from Ireland 🇮🇪 to the UK 🇬🇧 ✈️
I will be there 2 weeks and drive back with the car… via the ferry ⛴️ later in July 😊

@papilloncharity Zac here are the plane photos, we talked about.
After I was picked up with a taxi 🚕 and dropped off at the IRELAND WEST AIRPORT KNOCK.
I walked inside and saw:
In the distance the check in area…
On the right, rather high up… the destinations one can fly to from this small airport.
(yes I know… this photo didn’t come out well, was still holding my bag and trying to capture a photo with one hand hahaha 🤣)
I went upstairs to look outside the windows and check out what was there.
I saw one plane. ✈️
I was wayyyy too early at the airport. As I didn’t know this one, I wanted to be earlier to explore it a bit before my flight. 🤓
After I walked down again, I thought let’s go through security. This literally took not even 2 minutes 😁 my fastest #security check ever!
I ended up in the area behind duty free. There is some seating, a bar and restaurant and only 3 GATES.
Let me tell you… it was full. No seats left as at that moment 3 planes would be boarding and take off shortly.
I didn’t take photos as there were too many people.
I waited…
And waited… 😋
Until the planes left and the waiting area was empty again.
So I could sit down and watch the world go by 🤓
When it was time to board… I could see two planes ✈️ through the windows.
As it turned out, the furthest away one will be my plane. 😊
After a little while we could go outside, yes… we had to walk in the rain 🌧️ to the plane…
Inside the plane… I have always a window seat 💺
My view outside… more people are getting on both planes.
And we start…. Rolling over the tarmac. 😎
Now we see the rain on the window and the control tower at the end of the wing… 🌧️🌧️🌧️
We are approaching the runway and see the green lights through the window. 🌧️
I though it makes for some pretty artistic photos, so I took some more 🤓
Once we start to go faster… we see the rain running over the window horizontally now 😉
We go faster and faster….
And we have liftoff 🛫✈️
The rain is vibrating now on the window… rather interesting 🧐
✈️✈️✈️ go through the clouds…
What we see now, no rain… it is a bit bumpy though as the wind is very strong this day 🌬️🌬️🌬️
As we are still climbing up… 🛫 the plane reaches above the clouds. And we see 🥰 bright blue skies and sunny weather up here 😎 such a difference.
A little bit higher and the captain 👨✈️ will level the plane ✈️
We will fly just above the clouds the entire way… such a pretty sight. The cloud cover is really thick this day 😁
After a little while we start to go down…
…through the clouds ☁️ 🛬
And we see land 😊 it’s cloudy in the UK too, just like Ireland. The weather is the same.
Here we landed and are on the runway 🛬✈️
Our view around 😊
Getting closer to the arrival area, we see the control tower sticking high above the buildings. 😎
After the plane stops… we have a bus 🚌 towards the arrival area.
I am rather fast outside the airport… not many other planes landed at this time.
Outside I see this beautiful artwork on the wall. 😊
Such a great decoration.
I walk further and see this artwork at the departures area. 🤓
I look around me…
And see where I have to go. Hubby will pick me up soon 🚗🚗
