You know, there are times that I wish we have SM Mall or even a Robinson Mall in our town. Like maybe just minutes away from our home, or just a one-hour ride, not almost three hours away like what we have here. Yes, unfortunately, the biggest mall we have here in our province is that far away from where we are living right now. It was located in the capital city, which is in Calapan. To get there, we have to travel almost three hours in a van, and if we want to spent more time in Calapan, we have to travel as early as 5 a.m to get there. Yes, 5 am, lol.
And you know what's the saddest part? The fare we have to pay has almost doubled compared to what we usually pay before, can't be helped considering that everything is so expensive now. From what I remember during my college days, by the way, that's the time we visited Calapan City to get the money meant for my tuition fee every semester. We took advantage of that time to also unwind, enjoy and do some grocery shopping. So back to the fare, I remember Mom used to pay $2.11 for each of us. But now it has also increased, and we have to pay a big $3.52 each!
It seems like a small amount to some, but for us, it is already a big amount. And we need to travel back home. If we decide to travel there right now, with my three mothers on the trip, we have to pay $28.16 just for the fare. Then how about some pocket money to enjoy that gala? It's a big decrease on the budget, so I really wish Xentro Mall was not that far from home.
Well, we also have a mall-like building here, though it is far from the kind of mall I wish I could visit, but this'll do. They don't even consider it a mall because it is really small. They have an escalator, though, an escalator that does not work anymore, lol. It is also the closest one in our area, which is located in Pinamalayan, just 40 minutes away from home, so not bad, right?
Here it is, the King Plaxa, with a busy road. It's a good location, actually, because Pinamalayan has more people living there compared to Bansud. And by the way, King Plaza is just a two-story building, but it is wide. They sell different kinds of items, except foods, I think. They sell clothes, shoes, and appliances, too. As in, you can really see a lot in here.
This was located on the first floor, look how tall each shelf is. They really sell a lot of items here. What's good is that they sell them at a very affordable price. Though there are items that are really expensive, they have different varieties or brands that you can choose from. Choose the good-quality one that is a little pricey, just an "okay" item but still usable and with a very affordable price. Your pick. It's your money anyway, lol.
I am just following Mama here while walking, I am teasing her too, telling her she should replace her "old" design of a plate and bowls. But she just replied to me, saying, These are all nothing compared to her "vintage" plates and bowls, lol. I laugh hard because some of her plates have already scratched or chipped because of overuse. I'm just really teasing Mom here, though. She's alone in the house and doesn't sell food anymore, so she doesn't really need them. Lol. But I too know she's tempted to get some.
I'm also urging her to replace her electric fan too, as it is a little rusty now, but after seeing the price, we backed out, and I just zip my mouth because we can't really afford it now or anything that is expensive, lol. Arggg! It's hard when we have limited money in our wallets. We can't go on a shopping spree and all that, lol. I want a card with unlimited money on it. Who's with me? Lol.
Okay, now let's forget about the money and move on. Limitless Card is impossible for us right now. So moving on, I saw these cuties here, on the other side of the first floor. They are too pretty to ignore, agree? The only thing is that they are made of plastic. It's a good one, I think, as you don't have to water them every day or replace them because they have already wither.
They are pretty and really a good decoration for the inside of the house or even outside, but not all people are very fond of flowers made of plastic. Well, there are a variety of reasons as to why, and there's really a lot of disadvantage to having them too. One of them is that it doesn't smell, compared to the real thing, where when you get inside your home, you will be greeted with a sweet-smelling scent coming from a flower, like, for example, a rose, right?
But there's no doubt that it can make your house look livelier and brighter, but it still depends on the people. We had a flower vase before, the base was made of real clay, but the flowers were made of plastic. It looks pretty, but it attracts a lot of dust. Although it is washable, having the real thing is still going to work for us. How about you guys? Plastic flower or the "real" one?
And here's more with big vases and different kinds of flowers. They look pretty, though. And by the way, that's the escalator that won't work anymore. I think this thing only works on the first day of their opening, haha. Everytime we visit King Plaza, their escalator is not working, like "wth." It's hard to climb up those long stairs, it's a good exercise, though. But before I get to the top, I'm already exhausted and gasping for some air.
INTO THE SECOND FLOOR └( ＾ω＾)」!
So here's what you can see on the second floor, from clothes to undergarments. There are items for your bedroom too, like pillows and foam beds. This is also where you can see your footwear, shoes, doll shoes, sandals, with heels or without heels. I wanted to buy new shoes that day, but then I thought, "Where do I use them?" I don't even go out that often to have a need for it, lol. I dropped the thought and just bought a set of underwear for myself while Mama picked out a new pair of slippers.
By the way, they sell everything here, from kids to adults. I remember buying a dress here for my niece before, and it's not that expensive. Choosing kid's clothes is easy as they come in different designs, but all designs are pretty, so whatever we pick, the kid will surely love them. I didn't pick a dress for my niece that day, though, because I had already bought them other things.
After picking up the things we needed, we decided to finish and go visit another shop. People are still coming here to pick up things they also need.
Here's my mama paying for the things we get. There's a lot of counter space here that can accommodate you when you pay. Some are still empty, there are still people inside shopping, and people just keep on coming inside. For sure, after we got out there, more people came in after us.
