INVENTORY: MIRROR, TOOTHBRUSH, SHIRT, PANTS

The person in the mirror laughs at him.
Hisham brushes his teeth. Doing so often stops the laughs for a while. The person in the mirror keeps mocking him with his eyes, nonetheless.
Hisham ignores him. Pupils unfocused. Though, looking away makes the bushing a bit harder.
'It’ll stop soon.' Hisham ignores the mocking voice.
But he knows, he’ll have to come face to face with this joker for the rest of the month.
The person in the mirror laughs at him. So, do the cracks at the top and the bottom of the mirror. They're tempting. 'Punch this guy!' Irtempts 'Deform his &#$@ face!'
CRACK*
Hisham winces at the pain. He smiles as he wipes the blood from his hand.
The laughs finally stop.
The brush is still safe.

It's the 3rd day of the month, and Hisham is already down $8.
What do you think is happening to Hisham, and what do you think will happen to him next?
This chapter is based on the idea of Mirrors and hallucinations. The first chapter introduces Hisham's situation, but this chapter is the beginning of his true introduction. His problems!

To add a perspective to this, I'd like you to imagine the protagonist living in a country where $59 is below the poverty threshold. Money value changes depending on where you are in the world. As @tsunsica pointed out to me some of you would love to have as much as this Hisham has in the story. (Check out this Thread.) It's amazing what people can survive when their situation demands.
Going back to this chapter, I tried to be vague while writing it. I hope that each one of you imagined something different, while you all understood the core of what's happening to some degree.
Creating images for the Inventory Items was fun. Especially the mirror, (which in hindsight I should've drawn as being more worn-out.) I hope you're not worried about Hisham too much yet, and that you're looking forward to the rest of the story.
