"A letter came in for you this morning. It looks special. Did you get a new job without telling me?"

"If I did, you would be the first person to know about it. Morning, babe," Peter kissed his fiancée, Sofia, on her lip and playfully slapped her behind.

He went to sit on a chair close to the kitchen counter where she kept the letter. As he picked up the letter and flipped it over, the seal of the letter made him drop it abruptly like he was burned with hot coal.

Stepping away from the kitchen counter, he said, pointing to the letter, "D-d-did you see who delivered this letter?"

Seeing his reaction to the letter, a confused Sofiia went to him while inspecting the letter. "I just saw the letter on the pouch, it was addressed to you and I brought it in. What is wrong, babe? You look pale."

Peter took the letter from her, tore it open to see its content and after reading, his hands began to shake. He then folded the letter into a small shape, pocketed it, and asked Sofia to pack a "getaway bag" so they could leave their apartment immediately.

"What is going on with you, Paul?! Let me see the letter!" Sofia demanded.

"Trust me, you don't want to see this letter. Please Sofia, we are in danger! Go pack a bag now!"

Sofia ran upstairs to pack a bag as Paul had ordered. When she got to their bedroom, she saw a strange man, looking out the window in a relaxed state. She couldn't see his face.

This strange man was dressed in black sweatpants and a hoodie. Suddenly, the man spun around and made long strides toward her in an attempt to get a hold of her.

Sofia yelped and immediately made a run for it. "Sofia!" Paul called out but it was too late.

The strange man caught up with her, grabbed her by her ponytail before she could descend the stairs, and held a pocket knife to her throat.

"Please I beg you, don't hurt her. Let her go and I promise to surrender peacefully. Please," Paul pleaded.

Sofia began wriggling to set herself free but the strange man didn't bulge. So she used the heel of her foot and struck him on his knees. The strange man only grunted but didn't relax his hold.

He was built like a tank, six feet, six inches tall, and his face was hidden behind a skull mask. With a swift and precise motion, he turned Sofia to face him, bent her upper body sideways, and landed two brutal blows to her temple which rendered her unconscious instantly. Slowly, he then dragged Sofia's unconscious body down the stairs.

Panicking, Paul instinctively raised his hands in a gesture of surrender, hoping to convey to the strange man before him that he posed no threat. Dumping Sofia's body on the floor, the strange man said, "You know what follows next. Don't you?"

"I beg you to spare her. She knows nothing about what I have done." Paul pleaded

"You know the code. No witnesses. It's a shame you and your fiancée decided to spend the night together. I love blondes, but I can't spare her."

The strange man bent down to cut Sofia's throat when Paul made the bravest decision of his life by slamming into him using his full body weight.

With a resounding crash, they both fell to the floor with Paul on top struggling desperately to take his knife away, but in a swift movement, the strange man stabbed the knife into Paul's gut. Then he twisted the knife crushing, slashing through his internal organs. Paul screamed in agony as blood began gushing out of his stomach and mouth.

"Aggression triggers me more," the strange man whispered in Paul's ear.

The strange man pushed Paul's weak body from his to the floor and then he forcefully pulled out the knife. Blood gushes out of Paul's mouth as he begins to choke on his blood. Wheezing, he mumbled, "Please don't kill her."

All the pleading fell on deaf ears when the strange man lifted Sofia's head and slit her throat as Paul watched. Paul's eyes dilated seeing his fiancée bleed to death.

The strange man crouched down beside Paul's body and in a soft tone he said, "Shhh. You are almost there. I will be right here with you. It's almost over."

Grunting, Paul held on to the strange man's hoodie as the cold hands of death gripped him. "Tut Tut Tut, don't fight it. The more you fight it, the more painful it is." The strange man smiled slightly, "This is the best part. Shhh Shhh. There you go, buddy."

Paul took his last breath and his tight hold on the stranger's hoodie slipped up. The strange man stood up, cleaned the knife he used to murder the couple, and placed it in Paul's hand. He cleaned up whatever evidence he might have left behind before he strolled out the front of the door of Paul's apartment.
