Bruce and Lilac, the heroes of this series, have intentionally allowed themselves to be captured, after having small trackers injected under their skin. Will the criminals take them to the main boss? Can the INTERPOL agents arrive before anything tragic happens?
Grady drove up in a small, older model rental car. "This was all they had." He replied to Marv's glare.
"Then let's get going." Said Marv. He then roughly shoved Bruce and Lilac toward the back seat.
"Hey, careful mister!" Protested Lilac.
"Be glad that the boss wants you alive, or I could really have some fun!" Marv said in a suggestive way.
Bruce struggled against his bonds, and received a very hard slap for his efforts.
"If you aren't cooperative, I will make this little trip a lot less comfortable." Threatened Marv.
At that, both Bruce and Lilac decided that the backseat looked good.
"Blindfold them!" Ordered Marv.
Grady sighed, and found some clean rags in the trunk. As he put them on, he checked the ropes binding their wrists. Lilac's was drawing blood, so he adjusted it. Tight but bearable. She nodded a silent thanks. He also put gags in their mouths and laid them down.
After what must have been hours, the car stopped. They were taken out, and felt fine gravel under their feet.
"Where is that blasted plane?!?!?!" Exclaimed Marv.
"The boss did say his pilot was running an errand in the east." Said Grady.
"I'm not waiting out here all night!!!" Stormed Marv.
"Should I call the boss?" Asked Grady?
Marv stuttered nervously. "No need for that. I'm sure the plane will be here soon.
Bruce and Lilac dozed off. They were hungry when they woke up, but remained quiet. A while later they heard yawning.
"Six hours... Maybe you should call him." Said Marv.
They heard a door open and close, presumably Grady exiting to call the boss as he stretched his legs. About ten minutes later he was back.
"The boss said there was a small delay. The plane will be here in an hour." Said Grady.
"About time..." Grumbled Marv.
"Uh... Marv? Have you ever met the boss?" Asked Grady nervously.
"Of course not. I try to keep my head down. But I don't have much choice now, do I? He sent me halfway around the world to get these two, and if I don't deliver them I'm dead."
