Goddess Of Darkness Part Nine: Goddess Of Mercy

Our heroes Bruce and Lilac are sitting in the home of a rich Englishman, who unknowingly brought them home when they stowed away in his dog's kennels. Will he help them, or have them arrested?

If you have yet to do so, I encourage you to read this story from the beginning. @wrestlingdesires/the-goddess-series

Charles sat back down, and Bruce and Lilac followed his lead.

"It's my wife Eileen, the doctors said that they had done everything they could for her cancer, and told me to bring her home and make her as comfortable as possible.

We had been planning a trip to Peru, as a vacation and to accompany Princess and Diana to their future mate. When Eileen became ill, I sent them there on schedule as a surprise, being assured that they would be home long before she was due to be released from the hospital. Unfortunately she took a turn for the worse a few days ago.

The dogs were ready to be sent home, but I delayed so I could focus on being with her. I sent for them as soon as I found out she was coming home...

Yesterday she started asking for them, and I had to tell her about the surprise. She's happy but also worried about them. They have never been away from us.

But the real problem is that her condition is worsening. Her nurse thinks that she is hanging on out of pure willpower. She's determined to see her babies at least one more time.

Of course I love my Princesses too, but they are like daughters to Eileen. She helped their mother deliver them, while I was away on a business trip. Queenie belongs to dear family friends. Whenever they travel, she is our guest.

Queenie delivered the litter a week early, and two of them came before Eileen could summon the vet from his bed - it was two A.M. The first was Princess. She was squalling, and eager to nurse.

Eileen instantly knew she would keep her. We had already decided we wanted to take one of them.

Next came Diana, but she had a harder time, and wasn't breathing when she was born. My wife gently massaged her, and even gave some breaths. By the time the vet arrived, she was conscious.

So you see why I want them here so badly..."

Lilac dabbed her eyes, then pulled out a moist paper towel from her pocket, and displayed a flower with iridescent pink petals.

Charles gasped. "Is this what I think it is?"

Lilac nodded, and took a petal off, placing it in Charle's trembling hand.

"Tell your wife that there was a delay, and have her eat this. She will be out of bed within the month."

"How can I ever thank you?" Asked Charles.

"If we could please freshen up and rest that's all we need, Sir." Said Bruce.

"Of course, make yourselves at home! My housekeeper will show you to some rooms. Stay as long as you want."

They thanked him, then eagerly set about the business of recuperating from their ordeal. The accommodations and food were of the best quality. Upon waking, Bruce and Lilac wandered around until they found Charles.

"How is Eileen?" Asked Lilac.

"Sitting up, thanks to you! Her nurse said her vitals are improving! Thank you so much. How can I ever repay you?"

At that instant, the doorbell rang. They went to answer it, and were greeted by two men standing patiently next to two large airline kennels. Charles looked into one carefully, and saw it did indeed contain a real dog - his dog.

"Shall we bring them inside for you, Sir? Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Greg. We spoke on the phone." Said the man in the suit.

Charles thanked him, and opened the door wider, standing aside.

As the two men bent over to lift a kennel, Bruce, Lilac, and Charles saw that each of them carried pistols, which are illegal in England.
