Trying my hand at a #followfriday post - as there are a few people on Hive I'd love to highlight. I got the idea from @steevc who does awesome Follow Friday posts and @nicklewis who does them too! I likely won't be doing them as regularly as those guys so check out both of them if you haven't already - their posts are fantastic!
Ok so my recommendations are related to going out and having a good time so here we go - are you ready to party?
Recommended Follows this very sunny Friday (in London anyway!):
1. @djjamesblack
You may not yet have come across DJ and producer @djjamesblack - he's a well established/successful DJ (mostly Techno and Trance) based in Brighton (and often plays in London). He is also a consistent Twitch streamer and has done some crazy long streams. I noticed he recently did a 9pm till dawn one and I think he did a 12 hour one for his birthday!
Anyway I'd like to highlight James for two main reasons:
- His Hive Blog posts are super interesting and pretty in depth - often going into some quite personal stuff about how he feels about his craft. I think it's super great that he's sharing these kind of insights on Hive.
- His remix of @stickupboys and @ambrosechappel "Going Out" Just came out today and it's a total banger. It's provided the musical backdrop to me writing this post! More about that here.
2. @merit.ahama
@merit.ahama is one to dance whenever she feels like and how ever she feels like and I can certainly get on board with that outlook!
She is getting ready to celebrate the first birthday of Dreemport which in all honesty I hadn't heard of till today. It seems to be a newish project with the goal to allow people to read and interact with content across different platforms (both blockchain/web 3.0 ones and web 2.0 ones).
3. @circleofdeath
Musician and music label @circleofdeath has recently come back to Hive after a very long break and is posting some good stuff. If you like the genre (you can probably guess from the Hive name!) then head on over and get head banging!
Summary
If you can, GO OUT and party this weekend whether you are into techno, metal or just dancing whenever you feel like it! I also will be going out this weekend - to a 50th birthday party no less!
