THE SOLAR IS KILLING IT!!!
We hit half a million watts of electricity produced through our solar array. Also, with our new Lithium Ion batteries life is drastically changing as I am fully realizing how amazing they are. For example, we use to have to heat water only when we needed it...but now we just leave the water heater turned on all day. It may not seem like much, but having hot water ANYTIME we want it is pretty amazing to us.😁😁
GARDEN UPDATE
With the current state of affairs of the world as a total, and specifically the fact food is going to continue to get more expensive, the garden has taken the highest priority. If I'm going to be in a position to feed our family and help others, I will have to stay constantly busy prepping the garden.
For starters, I am not working and staying full time at the homestead until its completion. The first thing I need done is the ground leveled. I have began this massive undertaking and am about half way done. This is having to be done because the new place we are putting the garden this year is on a bit of a hill.
THE MOST AMAZING DISCOVERY!!
While digging to add a support structure to hold the dirt I must add, I only had to dig a few minutes before I hit it....
*This is how deep I dug...about three feet(one meter).
*That little squiggle of white is light reflecting off of the water it hit!
So what does this mean? Well, mainly that the water table is as I thought...just a little bit under the ground. It also means I can feel pretty good about how much work it will be to dig the well this summer and that the well will be able to have a very healthy reservoir level.🥳🥳

- Dig the embankment for a root cellar
- Buy a new four wheeler and farm truck
- Build the dam
- Rework spring water reservoir
