It happens to be the funniest thing I've ever seen in my entire life.
I hope I was able to do it justice.

His age, he was seven
He had a new calf and thought
He was in heaven
Till it started to shine
His sister was jealous saying
"I wish it was mine"

With a cute purple halter
A bit of a clash
But his love did not falter
It was bought for pets day
He had to prepare it
So that it wouldn’t stray
That was next on the list
It was naughty and stuborn
But he had to insist
It smelt the clean fresh air
It kicked up it heels
With such grace and such flair

It started to trot
With the driveway in mind
With Mathew in tow
Now being dragged close behind
The calf gathered speed
Sensing freedom was near
But he wouldn’t let go
No way, nope, no fear!
Down the gravel drive
The calf it did race
Seven year old legs
Couldn’t keep up the pace
The speed was amazing
His strides elongated
“let go of the rope
Your knees will be grated”
Legs circling round
Like running in slow motion
Calf at full pelt
Causing quite the commotion
Bent over double
With hysterical laughter
Parents, unable to breathe
Or prevent a disaster
Right round the corner
and then out of sight
Like Mary Poppins
On her first flight
It was a happy ending
As no one was hurt
But poor Mathew walked back
All covered in dirt
I’ve often told the story
And given so much pleasure
The memories he gave us
Were something to treasure
The End
