Of course my wife is worth it, but that doesn’t mean that it makes sense.
As some of you may already be aware, yesterday @mama-pepper and I celebrated our 114th wedding anniversary! (114 months that is.) Sometimes, roses are in order. However, fresh floral arrangements can cost $30 or more, and you’d be lucky to have them last two weeks.
For this reason, I like to get creative on my own, and invest a little time and creativity into expressing my love, rather than just dropping foolish amounts of money on things that just don’t last.
Weeds are all around us. Often, many fresh weeds are nutritious and tasty wild edibles, but for those dry weeds left over from last year, there is not always a lot of use.
This is where spray paint some in handy!
Gather a good variety of your local dead weeds.
Also, get an old jar.
Spray paint some of each weed different colors, and even leave a few natural if you want.
Spray paint the old jar too.
Then arrange the painted weeds as you see fit.
The end result should be a beautiful arrangement that can hold its own against any group of flowers, except when it comes to smell.
This is a great method not only for creating a bouquet for the woman that you love, but also for adding some fun décor to any home or event. If you take care of it, it’ll last for years, rather than weeks. I know that flowers still can have a special place in a woman’s heart, but this works for me too, and perhaps it can work for you!
